I RETURNED MINE TO THE SELLER WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD BECAUSE THOSE BATTERIES DO NOT HOLD A CHARGE FOR VERY LONG IF AT ALL. IF THE NEW BATTERY DID NOT WORK AS EXPECTED, I CHALKED IT UP AND GOT AN ELECTRIC CORDED KNIFEbr>Amazon customer service can be reached at: br>Customer Service in the United Statesbr>Phone toll-free In the United States and Canada, the following services are available for no cost: +1 (800) 201-5353 From outside the United States and Canada, dial 7575. +1 206 346- (206)-2992-2992-2992-2992-2992-29 266- 206-266-2992br>Another direct line is (206) 266-2992. I contacted the company directly, and they promptly sent me a replacement battery. The first one, as well as the new batteries, died about three months after they were purchased. The knife is great, but the batteries aren't working properly. You could look on eBay for something. It's possible that someone has a few extras.
Mine was a complete failure. It hasn't been charged and is currently stored in a box at home. As a result, the answer is "NO," as it does not work in any situation.
It measures approximately 8 inches in length. There are two blades included with it. Both work well for carving meat, with one having a pointed filet style and the other having a rounded tip similar to a bread knife. We use ours to carve our turkey every Thanksgiving, and it's fantastic! Best of luck with your purchases.

I usually do that, but with three other items already in my cart, I completely forgot. After all, how could a company mess up something as simple as an electric knife? My first inkling of impending doom came when I noticed it was packaged in a box with the following caption: This product has been seen on television. So believe me when I say that, as Sonic Blade demonstrates, it IS possible to screw up this product. I needed to slice a ham loaf to make ham slices for ham and cheese sandwiches for my FIRST USE of this product, and after a 48 HOUR CHARGE BEFORE MY FIRST USAGE, I could only slice less than a dozen slices BEFORE THE BATTERY RAN OUT OF POWER! To finish the project, I had to rely on my trusted butcher's knife. Enough said. Do as I say, not as I did! I'd give this product a ZERO star rating, but if I did, this review would never be published.
I was extremely dissatisfied with this order. I used to have one and it lasted me years, so I went back to it. It was advertised as being brand new, but it was anything but. It was clearly refurbished, and not in a good way. Both the knife handle and the blade holder had scrapes and scratches. On one of the blade sets, there was a missing part. Food was still visible on portions of one of the blades, indicating that they had been improperly cleaned. It was repacked and returned 30 minutes after it was opened. My previous order had been good and I enjoyed it, but this one disgusted me.
I meticulously followed all of the instructions. When my husband went to cut the turkey, it only turned on for a few seconds. The meat was too tough for the blades to cut through. He had to switch to a regular carving knife, so I figured I'd try to recharge it again just to see what would happen. It only worked for about a minute. I contacted the manufacturer to see if a new battery pack or charger was available. THEY QUIT MAKING THIS TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO, according to the customer service representative. She expressed regret and informed me that the warranty was no longer valid. When they stopped producing it, it was no longer available. There were apparently WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS about the product. It's a disgrace to Amazon that this item is still available for purchase.
Furthermore, I had to remove the plastic piece that required constant pressure on the switch to keep the knife running so I could use my entire hand to slice, and it didn't have enough juice to do a 10-minute job. 1 pound of ham Almost, but not quite. br>br>After it failed, I threw it out and calculated the cost of its "convenience. " Approximately ten cents per slice. br>br>BTW, I haven't seen much better in reviews of other cordless knife brands. I've returned to corded mode.
As a result, I completed the task at hand. I had charged it overnight and was ready to put it to the test. It simply does not do what it is supposed to do, and it certainly does not live up to expectations. For a few pulls of the trigger, the blades barely move back and forth, then it slows down and becomes pathetic. It won't cut any meat, not even the most tender brisket. This is another one of those "as seen on television" products that doesn't work. Any ELECTRICAL KNIFE would be preferable to this piece of garbage in my opinion. I was hoping the blades would fit my old corded electric knife, but they didn't. I'll admit that the blades are razor-sharp, but that's not a big deal because they don't move much. TERRIBLE PRODUCT; I would not accept a free sample.
Because I did most of the carving during the holidays, it saved me a lot of time and energy. This knife comes with interchangeable blades that perform admirably for the purposes for which they were designed. The best option is to use a cordless carving knife. You won't have to deal with any wires, and you won't need an extension cord to carve the Christmas turkey in the dining room. Can you imagine a better knife that stays sharp and is easy to use?.
There was only one working charging station. Fortunately, all we really needed were the batteries, which I couldn't find anywhere else. Although I was disappointed that the base unit did not work, the seller responded quickly after reading my initial review. I'm overjoyed because they're sending me a replacement unit. The working unit we got is fantastic - I'm hoping the second goes as smoothly as the first =).
The parent company, Emerson, is just as bad as the Sonic nonsense. Nobody knows where to get a new battery because it died. Design flaws. Emerson was contacted by phone and email ten days ago. Since it's been over 90 days, Amazon won't do anything, either. So, tonight, I'm destroying this. Take note of the score. The overwhelming majority of users have given this product a negative rating. They should be avoided at all costs. Do not purchase enven from a store.
