I paid $100 for this knife in the hopes of receiving a high-quality product. No! The knife was extremely dull, and it couldn't even cut a watermelon or other squash. It was given back to me.

Today, my Krups electric knife got sick. I was cutting bread when the motor began to overheat. As a result, the handle ended up in the trash. After 15 years of slicing bread, ham, roast beef, porketta, and chicken, the blades appear to be razor sharp. br>br>I used the Krups OptiSlice as my first electric knife. As far as we can remember, my husband purchased it for me for Christmas in 1995 or 1996. That year, I also bought him an electric knife, but we decided the Krups knife would be easier to handle and operate. It became a loud part of our lives, loud enough to alert someone to turn up the TV volume as I was about to use the Krups knife!br>Now that it's gone, I miss that noisy little electric knife, which I had forgotten was called an "OptiSlice. " br>br>Now that I know there are electric knives to choose from on Amazon, I'm getting a better knife to replace it. com. When we bought our last electric knife, there was no such thing as online shopping.
This knife performs admirably and falls within a reasonable price range. This is the third one I've purchased, as the first two were given to members of my family. Maybe I'll be able to hang on to this.
