The blades are connected by a small rivet, which you slide into the knife until it clicks into place. Then, to remove them, you press a button on the top, which releases the blades, allowing you to clean them.
The purchase of this piece of garbage was your first error. br>Save your batteries and toss out the knifeāit'll fall apart faster than you think.
Don't waste your time. Please return it. flimsy construction that will fall apart as soon as batteries are installed.
You'll need two blades that you'll hook together with a pin, then insert them into the knife.

The Knife did a fantastic job.
