This is a solid board made of the same material throughout (except for the black rubber borders), so YES, you can cut from either side. The size of pictures in the gallery is I had not expected these boards to be so small. In addition to the handle, drip rim, and the border, the measurements listed are correct. It's small, there isn't much surface to actually cut- Most of them are about 9x11 in size. As a point of reference, I have attached a picture of common objects. Also, 2 of the 3 boards were not non-performing There were no rubber feet to touch the counter, causing the board to slide. The little feet are so tiny they didn't make contact with the counter. Overall, it is fine for those who are looking for a smaller set of boards, but do not care about non-standard dimensions This slip happened.
Nevertheless, the main problem is that they cannot stay still while using the devices. It is not possible to make contact with your counter or table top with the rubber knobs on each corner. These are great! I picked up food right where it was needed. I agree, but those are awful It is easy for them to get deep cuts, and the juices run all over. There are many ways in which these cutting boards are right when compared with flexible cutting boards. You don't have to worry about your knife destroying them, and there is no drippy mess on them. You can use them without worrying about them shifting around. As long as you use one to cut up raw meat, you can quickly and easily tell which is which just by dropping them on the dishwasher. I would buy again if I saw a good price on cutting boards.
