Since you use a sharp knife often, I would say that it would contain knife marks from using the sharp knife a lot. A knife cuts the board in two directions. This is not a "jelly" type of board.
The "angle" is on either side of the board. There are no issues with the side where the meat is held with pegs. The board is at an angle and its deep lip is wonderful for holding roast to cut meat with the knife, but the knife "skips" on the pegs as they are sharp. The fact that the board is angled is also great. Just keep in mind that we won't be using our best knives Pegs on the rack are strong enough to hold a roast you will be forking. Our purpose of using the board is mostly to cut watermelon on the plain side. Being able to stop watermelon juice from dripping onto your counter is a treat. In my last post, I had just cut a watermelon and posted a picture of the cutting board. It's easy to see how the juices are held on the board that's what we tend to use it for.
We always run the board through the dishwasher and the color has not faded or the board been warped or otherwise damaged. My answer is no, I won't buy another one, but I will not donate it. It is enough for me to use the watermelon ).

I always have problems cutting tomatoes with all of my other cutting boards. No matter how much juice I use, even though I use those cutting boards with the "juice grooves", it always overflows.
