A corner of this product has been chipped, which is why I gave it four stars. Due to the packaging, this has happened. In this case, the set should have been attached with cardboard or another sort of corner. In the hope that I will not be left with a splintered nail file, I used my paper type of nail file. * I first washed the set, dried the three pieces, then oiled them using the recommended mineral oil, and allowed them to absorb it for a couple of hours. The update is I received great customer service from them and they emailed me some tips on how to sand it lightly and coat it with mineral oil to fix the problem. The splintering appears to be gone so far, so I'll update again if it reoccurs. I was very excited to receive this box, and it looked wonderful upon opening it. Although the cutting boards looked pristine at first, tiny hairs immediately appeared on them after usage. A lot of splinters appear on the cutting surface.
