Is the fire gel fondue paste included in the set or must it be purchased separately?

It exists on its own. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with flammables in the mail, but this is a stunning set.

What kind of candles do you think you'll need for this?

Instead of candles, a Swiss Fire Gel Fondue Paste can be used.

Is the pot of a certain size?

It could hold a quart to 1 1/2 quart of liquid.

The product works fine, but we were disappointed to discover that the screws holding the wooden bottom to the heating plate were completely rusted when we flipped it over to clean the soot

The handle had broken off

Before I could even use it, the handle snapped off. Don't be a slacker when it comes to your finances. Skip the Chinese trinket in favor of the cast iron one.

After the initial use, it became tarnished

I really wanted to like this, but the copper tarnished after the first use due to some cheese on the outside, so I had to return it. Boska cast iron fondue sets are a good choice. It's a lot more durable and dependable this way.

It was a gift, and the damage wasn't discovered until the party, when it was opened. We have no way of getting a new one because there is no replacement option available.
