I bought this rack to use with half-pint jars when I was canning. I've used it a few times now, and the jars are always stable on the rack. I recently purchased the larger size so that I could use it in a larger pot. Instead of using large canning kettles that are cumbersome to use and don't fit on my glass top stove, I prefer to use stock pots with racks.
Hello, I'm not familiar with a deep fryer, but I do use an air fryer to cook my food. Use it to cook bacon or potato paddies on the bottom while steak is cooked on the rack. You'd take a measurement of what you're going to use this product with and order a width that's less than that. It's just that it's 6 inches instead of 5 inches. The length and width of this bracelet are both 5 inches. I ordered mine for a convection oven rack and ordered it slightly smaller than the dimensions, and it works perfectly.

This was purchased to be used in the bottom of a dutch oven for pot roasting. It was going to be a tight fit based on their posted diameter measurement; However, it does not fit because the pot is not round, and I measured its ID across only one cross-section. point with a diameter The rack is round, but slightly larger than the advertised size. As a result, a calculated close fit is transformed into a NO-fit. It's time to go. It's also far from flat. It comes with a substantial crown. It doesn't appear to be an issue for a rack used for a pot roasting insert or an open roasting operation, but it appears to be an issue for a canning operation. In addition, given my pot roasting method, it is far too short for an insert. I'm going to use it as an open roasting rack because it's very sturdy and heat resistant. Just a word of advice for the savvy shopper.
I've learned the hard way to double-check everything before discarding the packaging. When I went to use it, I discovered that it was bowed, so I guess I didn't check it thoroughly enough. When steaming vegetables or using it as a roasting rack for meat, it probably won't make much of a difference, but it's a major issue with jars and bowls. I purchased it to use as a stand for my yogurt jars. There are too many gaps in the trevit that came with my Instant Pot. I have to carefully balance yogurt jars and egg poaching cups to keep them from tipping over. I reasoned that the trevit's tight grid pattern would provide a more stable foundation. The jars, on the other hand, lean with the bow. It's not quite enough to tip over, but it's noticeable. Because the yogurt wasn't spilling, I considered just going with it, but the yogurt would have to settle after culturing and being transferred to a level foundation. I haven't tried it with a bowl yet, but I imagine it will teeter totter. br>br>I'd also like to caution Instant Pot users that the 8. A 6 quart does not fit in a 25" container as well as you might think. It's such a tight fit that the trevit sticks out a little at the bottom of the pot where it bevels in a little, but the legs don't touch the bottom. To be honest, I don't think it would be a problem unless you really needed the trevit to not touch the sides. I just wanted to bring it up because I had no idea it would happen when I made the choice. br>br>With the exception of the bow, it appears to be a high-quality product, as it is sturdy and well-assembled, with no loose or detachable parts. However, the bow is a problem, and I'll have to figure out how to return it without the original mailer or the bag it came in. It's a bummer because it's the only trevit I could find in that diameter and grid size. It would have been perfect if it had been sized down to 8" without the bow, and it would have worked well for what I wanted it for if it hadn't had the bow.

If you don't can with a water bath, you can skip this section. br>My Ball Electric Water Bath Canner accepts the 12" diameter 1" high rack! I didn't get the flat 12" one because I thought it would fit better. Because the feet were in the way when I tried it right side up, I turned the rack upside down so it could fit under the inside part of the spigot. br>Because the electric canner came with a pitiful little rack that couldn't handle small jars, I purchased this 12" diameter, 1" high rack. Without tipping over, the rack can hold up to 13 regular mouth jelly jars. br>This rack has a lot of weight on it. Despite being submerged in boiling water for extended periods of time, it has not rusted, and I would recommend this rack to anyone who uses water bath canners. If you want a better canning rack, measure the inside bottom of your pot and buy one that is slightly smaller. It should do the trick if you can find one that is flat.
Material that does not rust. This was a great deal and it fit my canning steamer perfectly. It's made of rust-free stainless steel and is sturdy enough to hold quart jars. Excellent value, and far superior to the canner that came with it.

I have cooling racks, a couple of pressure cooker racks, and so on, so you have a certain expectation when you order something that is essentially the same as racks you already own. Well. This is a colossal piece of work. br>br>With my vehicle, I believe I could drive over it. LOL. I can see my grandchildren using this as long as the materials are safe and it does not rust. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made.
I'm not sure what that small yellow flower made of soft plastic is supposed to be. It's only 3" in diameter and made of a very thin rubbery plastic. If you ask me, it's nothing more than trash that gets thrown away. On the other hand, the rack is of excellent quality. It would have been perfect for my pot if it had been the right size. I took measurements, but without the right tool, measuring the inside diameter can be challenging - That caliper is too big for me. It had to be exactly what I needed. To fit, it must be 25mm (or 1/16") smaller. The ease with which I was able to return made me extremely happy. Unfortunately, the next smallest size they produce is inadequate.
Bacon, chops, burger patties, chicken, and baked potatoes on a smooth stainless steel cooking rack. It's simple to clean, and it's well-made. I use tin foil to line a 9" glass pie plate and then snugly fit the cooking rack over it. The rack is very easy to clean with a sponge and small brush after cooking. The grease and oil are caught in the pie plate, making cleanup a breeze. Bacon strips, hamburger patties, and small vegetables can all be held solidly without falling through the grates thanks to the small grid. Fans of the Turbo cooker will love this addition.
