For an 8-quart cooker, this is quite small. I recommend measuring the inside diameter of your cooker and purchasing a rack that is at least 1" smaller in diameter.
Yes. My ham steaks are steamed in mine.

I purchased this item after returning a "domed" competitor model (to another manufacturer). "And unlike many competitors, it has straight wires for a flat, level surface," the advertiser says in the Amazon description. There will be no bending, domeding, or warping of your rack. Your food will not fall out! My copy arrived just a few minutes ago, and it's just as bowed, domed, or warped as the others. I didn't have anything to complain about with the other manufacturer's returned product because it didn't specify whether the rack was domed or not, but I do with this one because the advertising claims that this model would be flat, not bowed or domed. Customers would have objected to a domed product if the advertising claim had not been made in advance. br>br>The product itself appears to be well-made. enough was made, and it arrived in a timely manner. It's frustrating to have been led to believe that the surface would be perfectly flat. I'm not sure why they can't use a flat rack to make these. I believe that the outer ring is very hot from the welding process when all of the wire mesh is welded around the perimeter, and that the heat causes the outer ring to expand. The outer ring's diameter contracts as it cools, forcing the mesh's center to dome. In any case, that appears to be the outcome for this and similar racks, so if you're looking for a flat mesh, you'll have to look elsewhere. Because the heavy wires do not bend, it is impossible to flatten the mesh by hand. From convex to concave and back again, the mesh simply "pops. " br>br>It's interesting to note that a third Amazon seller is aware of the convex doming issue and promotes the doming as a benefit, claiming that the domed shape helps grease drip off more effectively. What! Just keep in mind that doming is a problem that many brands face, whether you ignore it, claim your design doesn't have it, or exaggerately tout it as a benefit. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I reordered this rack, and it arrived with a second one that was less domed than the first but still not flat. I gave up and kept it, returning the one with the larger dome. Regardless, neither of them were "flat" in the traditional sense.
I needed a round cooling rack because the only ones I had were rectangular, which made flipping a round cake in its pan a bit awkward. I was looking for something sturdy, and this is it! I like that it's a grid rather than a single row of bars, which can leave indentations at the bottom of things. A grid provides more support, and the two-inch height is something I really like. That allows plenty of room for air to flow beneath the cake, as well as room for my hand to pull out from underneath when I flip it over onto the rack and place it on the counter. br>br>In any case, I placed the first order and then returned to place a second order. Another reviewer stated that theirs was domed, but mine is perfectly flat, so if yours isn't, send it back. Best of luck with your baking (or canning, or air frying. . . ).
The inside diameter of my air fryer basket is 8", and this rack is slightly smaller than that, with built-in legs that allow it to stand midway through the basket. Now that the basket at the bottom is full, I can cook more food. The rack can be held up without the use of bolts. When the food is done, a couple of wire loops may be required to pull it up. I'll report back if it works as well as it did in YouTube videos. I hope this information is useful to others who are looking for a similar answer.
It was exactly as described and much heavier than I had anticipated, indicating that it is extremely durable. In my Ninja pressure cooker, I like the cross cut because nothing falls through, and the higher legs because I can do different levels. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.
This is what I ordered for my fifth. Air fryer with a capacity of 8 quarts. Rather than using a nonstick coating, I preferred to cook my food on safe stainless steel. The rack is extremely sturdy and can be used in a variety of ways, including as a cake rack, a hot pad, and in an Instapot, among other things. This was an excellent buy.
Heavy metal is nice, and it's sturdy enough to hold an older, heavyweight pressure canner (16-quart). qt size). Even though I chose the smaller aize by accident, I was blown away.
I like having this little rack in my foodie because it allows me to layer foods in pans. It's sturdy and will outlast me! Despite the grid, cleaning is a breeze. I strongly advise you to use this service.
I needed a grid mesh stand for my instant pot 6 quart to cook meat in so that I could place the fat daddies 8 x 2 pan underneath it to catch all the liquid. This grill is a perfect fit for the area. I'm glad it went well, and I'm glad my idea came to fruition.
