With the set I received today, I made peach cobbler. It went perfectly with the desserts. I am completely enamored with the quality. It was also the perfect size for each serving, and it was a hit with the kids who came over to my house. They appear to be lovely, and I would definitely use them for events such as house parties. I'm going to experiment with it and see what I can come up with. This is a fantastic collection!.
I don't have anything to compare them to because I've never owned, used, or (that I recall) eaten anything made or served in a ramekin. I found no damage or defects in the ramekins' packaging, which fit snugly inside the shipping box. Each of the six pieces fits perfectly on top of the other.
I like the product a lot, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one, but one of the ramekins was chipped when it arrived. Because the pieces in the box are too small to cover the chip, I can only assume it was chipped during packaging. People, pay attention! I've put in an order for a new one. We'll have to wait and see what happens. A cardboard box held the ramekins. Between the ramekins and wrapped around and between the two stacks, there was only cardboard to cushion them. This is the type of thing that should be avoided at all costs. Styrofoam-wrapped or -encased Keep an eye on Le Tauci!.
My package arrived just a few minutes ago. When I opened the package, one of the bowls was cracked, which was a bit disappointing. I was immediately let down. To avoid breakage, the bowls should have been wrapped more tightly before being shipped. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I contacted the company, and they promptly sent me a replacement set (which arrived in perfect condition) while insisting that I keep the old one. Customer service is outstanding.
So far, they've met all of my requirements! I asked them to make some perfect creme brulee with my new immersion cooker, and these will make some truly "king" sized creme brulee (a little too much for my mother, who said it was too rich to eat so much of it, but I say more is more!). ) You could probably cook the creme brulee in these if you can seal them well enough and weigh them down well enough, but I just cooked everything in a bag and then transferred it over. It was simple to clean; I simply soaked it in water for a few minutes to loosen the caramelized sugar, then wiped it clean before placing it on the top rack of my dishwasher. In general, it's excellent.
So many of the ramekins on this page aren't properly nestled; They are sunk too far into the dish (deeper than the rim). When they're full, they're effectively unstackable. These, on the other hand, are nearly perfect: they're a full 8 oz to the inner rim, and the bases fit snugly into that lip. They will, however, tilt their heads slightly and make contact with the food. You're limited to about 6oz if you want perfect stacking without the bottoms touching the dish. None of the others I tried even came close to being as good as this.
I'm very happy! They arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I liked the little extras the company included with the box - it was exactly as described. A recipe, a list of who to contact if you need assistance, and a list of who to contact if you don't know who to contact. Simply put, it appears to be a reputable firm. I intend to place another order with them. I had everything I needed for creme brûlée - I ordered the 4 oz. , but I'm thinking about ordering some larger ones as well!.
