I wouldn't call them glazed because they aren't shiny. However, if they go through the firing process, they might be.
The bottom measures about 4 inches in diameter and has a scalloped edge. A four-inch round, I believe, would suffice.

The shape of the ramekins is consistent (they stack well in a drawer), and the glaze is even and appears to hold up well. Many white dishes will show grey scratch lines from forks, spoons, and other implements. To see if the ramekin would show scratches, I scraped the bottom with a spoon repeatedly. That wasn't the case. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with the dishes and appreciate the smaller portion sizes for individual servings.

I made double baked cheese souffles, which I baked in the smaller ramekins first, then transferred to the 6 oz dishes, topped with a cream sauce, and baked once more. The end result was 18 BEAUTIFUL (I used three sets of ramekins) ramekins that were evenly baked and looked identical when removed from the oven. The dishwasher made cleanup a breeze!.
