The product meets all the specifications
5/5

Based on several reviews, I selected this product. It works exactly like it was Due to the hardness of the water we get from the well, we had to invest in a very expensive water system. A large amount of scale was still occurring and we figured we needed to repair the system. In the past, technicians have come out to "fix" the system and said that we had one or two grains of hardness after they were done, but we did not see an When they tested our water, they found more than 25 grains of hardness, and they would not even install a tankless water heater. A test kit we purchased indicated we had over 30 grains in the water, which is considered to be off the charts. We tested the water from our water dispenser with the test kit (which someone recommended) which, of course, had zero grains. The long and short of it is. . This kit was perfect for checking if your system was performing as it should be, especially if you get a chance to do so from time to time. It was straight-forward to use and only took a few minutes to complete. We discovered that our water system was in need of repair.

Testing for hardness is easy and inexpensive using this device
5/5

Despite its clear simplicity and affordability, the Hach kit gives reliable results. Even though I wasn't able to verify its accuracy, I did test it on some pure distilled water and the solution remained blue, indicating a neutral pH (*7). In other words, it should have shown what it should have. Since it is accurate enough for me, I will take it for what it is In order to see what effect my water softener is having, I wish to test it. The water softener wasn't doing its job, as it turned out. The water softener was working properly after I poked the salt reservoir down with a stick, eliminating the air spaces that were present. I used the kit to retest, and it was found that the air-filled portions in the salt reservoir were filled with air. It is important to note that cavities form in softener salt quite frequently and are commonly caused by condensation on the outside of the interior water tank, which is cooler than the surrounding air. When the pellets are moist, they stick to one another, forming cavities that reduce the effectiveness of the backwash and recharge processes in the softeners. In addition to poking the salt pellets periodically and retesting the system with the Hach kit, I also use the Hach system.

To test hardness, only 30 grains are used

In addition, the company providing this product does not sell it as a retail product. This test measures only hardness up to 30 grains, and this should be apparent on the product information page. I called their customer service department to get a higher level test kit, I had to wait quite a while before I was able to speak to someone, but didn't watch the clock when I called. Customer support finally came on the line. They didn't make what I needed and they would issue me an R/A for my purchase. I challenged him to find a wider test kit (not uncommon) but he could only find one to test between 20 and 30. The grains are 2000. If these values are used to test for softened water, they would be useless- It's not necessary to provide more information, unless the rep failed to do so. I was transferred next to tech support, where I was placed on hold for a long time. I was placed on hold until I heard an automated message requesting my phone number to call me back. It has been a couple of days since I called, and I am not hopeful that they will return my The company seems to specialize in large commercial, industrial and filtration projects, based on its web presence. In any case, I hope it is true since it would explain why things are the way they are.

The product works as described
4/5

Excellent value for the money. I was able to get it working Despite the complexity of the results, they are easily interpreted. In comparison with the competition, it offers a high value. The ergonomics don't quite measure up, so it earns one point less. As a package, the contents appear to have been picked off the shelf instead of being designed as a whole. As an example, there are no slots for the items inside the case. You need to arrange everything carefully before securing it. To ensure that the contents of the foil packet make it into the mixed vial, the contents of the foil packet must be carefully handled. There's more I could say, but I am picking at I think it's a good package all in all. My only regret is not being able to make that trip.

I found this to be incredibly easy It was important for me to have the ability to test my water to make certain that my softener is working properly, since I had just removed a salt dam and had just needed to be sure everything was working properly
5/5

Compared to silly test strips, this test is far easier to use. It's true that a test strip should be straightforward, but I find the colors to be challenging to match and too crude to tell you if your water is truly being repaired. I am considering repurposing the kit's case someday for home use, but for now, it seems a bit big Put it to use in another way. I think it was built for professional work in the field.

Whenever I moved into a house with a water softener, this should have been my first purchase
5/5

Whether you have a softener or not, this is necessary. My lack of knowledge about the hardness value of my water has caused me to waste a lot of salt. In the last couple of years, I've wondered why my dish washer, toilets and showers get hard water deposits that gradually increase. A simple little kit that will tell you how much hardness your water has so that you can properly set your water softener, and it will also check that it is functioning as it should. With a water softener, you should test your water once a year and have this kit on hand. With just one application per year, you should be able to use this kit for many decades.

This is an extremely useful test kit
5/5

It is useful to use this water hardness test kit to find out the hardness of the water supply in my city, so I can adjust my water softener settings and then confirm that everything is working by checking the softened water throughout the The price is reasonable, and the system is very.
