It's a good scope, but I wish it came with better instructions on how to use it. Neither the light sources nor the proper way to line up a gem to be scoped, nor any troubleshooting suggestions were listed on the page. Because I was an amateur at using spectroscopes properly, I had to look up the minimum fundamentals for using this equipment in completely unrelated sources.

A picture of the instrument is provided so you can see how big it is in relation to my hand. It does correspond to the middle spectrascope shown in Liddicoat's It is a solid instrument that is well made and hefty. There is a wooden box inside which it comes in a box made in India. The package is shipped by DHL and needs to be signed for. The package was well packaged and arrived safely.
