Is it made of metal or some sort of low-cost plastic? I'm looking for a high-quality instrument that has a similar feel to it. ?
Sybon is my go-to brand for refractors because of its solid metal construction.
Is calibration fluid included in the package?
A small bottle of distilled water is included in the package. If you want to calibrate that way, you may need to obtain salinity fluid.

Excellent craftsmanship

It's a lot easier to read than the cheaper refractometer I replaced it with, and it feels a lot more solid. So far, the calibration has held up exceptionally well between uses.
