Is that what it sounds like? Its use is however used in calibrating my salinity analyzer. It is always in place when I double-check at my LFS. Having said that, I am happy with the solution.

If calibrating a rb a refractometer is an equation, depends on the range you are using.
You should ask yourself if you have been using the Milwaukee's destiled water to calibrate your machine. A solution like this helps you verify calibration when you have to repeat it twice.

Using an entirely different solution does not help and will put you off accuracy. It must be at exactly the right temperature to be fully accurate. Using it MOST accurately I use a float over the water in my sump insuring that the solution and the meter remain the same temperature when calibrating the meter. Finally, I check the SG on the return of my float over the water in my sump insuring that the solution and the meter are the same.
In the more than a decade that I've tried this procedure, the best results have come from mixing the formulas the few times. Since I can't always match two solutions I know, I just purchased a bottle at a lower ppt and still managed to reach 2 answers, but this isn't consistent. Since there is no dropper and bottle attached to these, I found the features to be simple. This seems to be something that's awry when it comes to quality control. I have purchased two bottles of these in the past couple weeks; out of them, two were correct. One was 37 ppt, and the latest was 31 ppt. I'll probably make a standard for myself again, and put the empty bottles to good use.
Put this into it. You shouldn't rely solely on this product, as it may not be accurate at all. As long as I am able to calibrate with RODI, I use this product to check / calibrate my Milwaukee digital rive with this product. I trusted this was professionally made and initially concluded my device was off by 1 ppt even after many attempts. It led to me adjusting my three tanks based on the salinity level of this product. Since no animals or corals were harmed, I checked on Reef2 Reef to see if I could make my own calibrated solution. With a more precise scale, I weighed out both salt and RODI at 1000ths of grams to ensure precision. Finally, I was able to test my homemade calibration liquid with an accurate refractometer, and the product was completely off by a ppt. It's too much error for me to accept. As an individual who relies on reliable equipment, i was disappointed with this item, but glad it can still be utilized. To calibrate your own vehicle, following is how you do it. The ratio of 2 to 3 is a good rule of thumb. The 66g of salt and 96g of the white granulated table salt. RODI amounts to 35 in our world. 35 points per second.
This product has affected me more than I could have imagined. If I could go through BRS, I could have only gone over 35PPT, the actual reading with this calibration was 42PPT. There are no job possibilities for this product. The one-word answer is "buyer beware!".
You must have a prism refractometer with you when operating an aquarium. In addition, since calibrating my refractometer more than twice each week, my Pico Reef's residents have been _considerably_ happier and it would not have remained the same after twice a weekly calibration. It should never be used to calibrate against RO/DI water. You can search for it on Google. Due to prism imperfections, there are two types of offsets. The calibration fluid has the effect of turning back the dial of your refractometer to the measurements in the range you were testing in when you initially purchased it.
Every three counts per instructions are Calibrated three times. We were way too low on this. Aquariums in my area calibrate the food so it matches their water.
It has come in handy as calibration materials for my ATC Refractometer. In order to calibrate my RO water for home measurement, I always used my LFS, as I was getting a lower reading. My readings have been more accurate since purchasing this product.
A great value for money. The software works exactly as intended. Ensure it doesn't get any worse by shaking it away. The reading will not be correct if not. Shaking the reader a few times, then holding it at bay, till I get a consistently good reading again.
