Product Description

In addition to measuring dissolved oxygen and temperature, dissolved oxygen meters also measure oxidation status. It consists of a thin film with a polarographic sensor for detecting dissolved oxygen, along with a thermistor to measure and compensate for temperature. In practice, the permeable membrane separates the measured solution from the sensing electrode, though oxygen can pass through it to react and, in so doing, the concentration can be determined.

The solution of oxygen can be expressed in mg/L (ppm), which is the molecular oxygen concentration in a liter of water, and saturation percentage (%), which is the amount of dissolved oxygen in a liter. Based on the dissolved oxygen meter, we find the oxygen concentration to be zero. The 0-40 scale. What is the depth of the probe? In order to measure DO in the lowest portions of a pond, I do not want to need to collect ?

About a month ago, I purchased one of these. It appears the device can calibrate in air, so I assume that it would do so at the oxygen levels you are at, whatever that altitude As it turns out, the calibrator seems to be the most accurate when calibrated often like every time you use it as opposed to not calibrating for a very long time.

Do you have to make anaerobic water or does it come with a calibration solution?

My recent purchase is going to be used to transport fish and trout. There are a couple of points I would like to note. It is not possible to calibrate. This calibration is done against outside air which I find to be odd. To calibrate it, you can zero it out against air or calibrate it in If it's useful, you should Similarly, I found that every time I used it, it needed to be calibrated. In other words, I might try calibrating in a saturated solution of C02 ( in other words, take all the oxygen out) but I have no way to know just when that might happen. *br>To be the same accuracy as an analog pool thermometer, the temperature ( and especially if the DO is accurate ) must take over a minute to be accurate. It's hard for me to tell if I can trust this thing based on some of these details. There is no reason to read 3 mg/L in water with trout, when they need more than that to survive or they will die jumping out of the water. Thus, I am not convinced that it can be calibrated correctly in order to read the news I hope this has answered any questions you might have.

In an opened box, I found a defective meter that I had paid for as new

I bought the cheapest DO meter that I could find, and what I paid for I got, as they say. A number of readings are incorrect. It can sometimes be 0 There are usually 0, 6, 7 or 8 of them. There was no trace of any substance. However, the device did not calibrate when multiple solution changes and diaphragm changes were made. As a result, I give it two stars, as it would be a great meter for the price you pay.

Dissolved oxygen meter of great quality

As a surprise, I found that this dissolved oxygen meter works quite well. In my fish tank, I used an oxygen pen as a measuring device to test the oxygen level. My understanding of the steps and methods for calibrating the dissolved oxygen meter were enhanced by reading the manual. Additionally, I contacted the seller with some unclear questions and received a prompt response. I found the seller to be very professional and the dissolved oxygen meter to be very accurate.

For me, it's not worth the effort

I purchased it, but even after I pressed the order button I wasn't sure it was right. The oxygen level in my fish tank should be able to be read with this device. These items are fairly expensive, and I'm not sure why they are so much money. Despite my doubts, I decided I would give it a try, but when the box arrived the bottle of liquid solution was partially open, so the instructions had become damp and the plaster had become sticky. In the end, I decided that it wasn't even worth the time it would take to figure out how to use it, so I would just get my money.
