In an effort to match my Kona Cotton solids fabrics with Pantone The Plus Series Color Bridge Coated & Dyed fabrics, I have been working diligently since October. A surface that is uncoated. Even more challenging is doing that work under grey skies and during rainy or gloomy conditions. Despite my best efforts to determine RGB or CMYK or Pantone matches for the Kona Cotton solid colors, I haven't been able to figure it out. It's awesome! I've recently decided to get the Pantone CAPSURE Color Matcher in order to use with the Color Bridge! Last week I tried this for the very first time, and I liked it a lot At the height of the daylight (the most brightest part of the day), I brought my Kona Cotton solids to a room with natural and ambient light, and I set the CAPSURE light setting to match the light conditions in the As I match up CAPSURE matches with the previously matched data, I first check CAPSURE's match against what I have Several had the exact match that I had previously, some did not, but were There might be some color matches that are more difficult than others between fabric colors and Pantone colours. The Pantone matches I need are different as I want to use them digitally too, so I must ensure they are each matched to a different fabric color. In the event that I get a match for the same Pantone color for multiple fabric colors, I then go back to the book to find the best matches. There's a lot more detail and required time in my project than in As far as I am concerned, it works great for me! The investment is definitely worth it for me, but I think it was well worth the investment. It is something I will use on a variety of projects for years to come!.
During the course of my work, I tried this. Our ink room fandeck contained 178 ink spots that I captured both using our company's spectroscopy machine and the Capsure. The devices were calibrated at the same illumination and calibrated at the same time. Five times, I performed this experiment and found the results As compared to the Capsure that was at work, the one from Capsure captured perfectly consistent Lab values. There were even whole numbers instead of just percentages in the work spectrometer variations. I can't believe how easy it is to use, and how many valuable tools it contains. Also, did I mention how accurate it is?.
In regards to Solid Uncoated fan books, my Capsure represents about 50% of the truth, while dyed knit goods are completely inaccurate. Having talked with Pantone tech support, they said the fan books should be 99% accurate. There are times when it gets the colors right. Most of the time, it gets the pastels wrong. Right now we're using 4525 and 453, a dark gold and a greenish beige, and it gets these wrong almost every time. Normally, when I calibrate it the accuracy improves. With bulky knit fabrics, this problem is caused by light leaking through the knit. As I improved the accuracy, I placed the fabric against black paper, lined a small box with black paper, and pressed firmly the Capsure into the knit. In most cases, this resulted in a darker number than the yarn was actually. I would like to change 165 to 166. It is not uncommon to get three different readings when you take three readings. In addition to the RM200QC, a Pantone representative said they have another model, the RM200QC-QC, which is She told me that it would not help me and that it would cost nearly $2000.
My first impression of the gadget was not impressed when I tried printing a CMYK page from my expensive printer to put it to the test. Measuring the yellow output did not give me purely yellow prints it always indicated some After getting my magnifying lens from the drawer, I looked closer but was still unable to see anything other than When I decided to look at it under a microscope for fun, it was just wonderful! I was ready to return it when I put the print under the microscope. It was right that I did this! In the yellow part, there were tiny spots of magenta. This works like a charm if you're having trouble figuring out colors!.
I wish it had been available, it would have been great!.
In the fashion industry (fashion) color accuracy is VERY important, and this Pantone CAPSURE Color Matcher is much better than the Pantone color application that comes with your cellphone that does not utilize natural light or a harsh yellow flash light when identifying the correct color. In comparison to the original fabric swatch, I can now easily identify the correct Pantone color by placing the Pantone Capsure on top of it. The Pantone Matching System often proves challenging to me when it comes to choosing the correct color from thousands of options, but this product made it very easy to decide the color I needed.
Was excited about the idea and hoped it would work. I ended up returning it because it was very costly and would not have worked properly unless the light in the room was perfect. I ended up buying the old fashioned pantone cards in the end.
I like it.
