As a reef tank owner, I really like Hanna checkers, so I am writing this post about them. Using the results as the basis for my reef tank I find them accurate. In other words, you will not be able to use this checker for reef tanks!.
Accuracy and ease of use are among the best characteristics of the meter. It is pretty easy to get the reagent paper pouches into the vials except for getting all of them into the pouch. The first few times I did it, I got it wrong. To install the battery, it's a bit tricky to open up the battery cover with a knife. I had to carefully pry the cover off.
I've tested it and it seems to be working.
In taking a supplement of this type, you are taking a very small amount. In order to add to my reef tank, I like to know the outcome. My results usually range from 0 to 1. The number 0 is either true or false. As the unit only requires one readout, it is capable of reading very low numbers without titration, such as Salifert.
