The replacement of the original. A 40 - 46 was what I was using You should switch to 60. I upgraded my well because it is far from my house so it can support 60 gallons of water. It's amazing how much difference there is. It was an easy installation. (*) Please note The air pressure in your pressure tank also needs to be adjusted if you are upgrading like me.
This was bought to replace an old one on my well at my cabin, which was 39 years old. I replaced everything on everything on my well system & set up a new one, even though my old one still works The contacts had a little burn on them due to ants getting inside. The one I chose is about a 1/2" smaller than the larger one, but its specs remain unchanged all the same. I tested it and it worked.
It is used for a well pump that uses a 2HP motor.
Increasing my PSI on my well was what I needed to do and this was how I did it. The product is easy to install and well built. I am not surprised that it is.
This is how it was.
I am very pleased with it. The service was flawless and hassle-free.
Neither the cuts off nor the on pressure of the adjustment screws is adjustable. If you do not want it to come on at exactly 60 and turn off at exactly 80, do not buy it.
I cannot open the screw if I can't open the nut. Tight is not enough. Worked for me.
