As an artist, I'm curious about the optical spectrum of light reflected off a small piece of painted canvas. Is this something that this device could be used for?

Hello, the device sensor must be in direct contact with the light source. If you place the sensor in front of a wall or other object where light is reflected, the result will be inaccurate, and you may experience "Spectrum Saturation," which will result in poor results because the sensor will be unable to detect the light source clearly. Is it possible to use this product to determine the wavelength (in nm) of an ultraviolet light source? led?

The Lighting Navigator has a wavelength range of 380 to 780 nanometers. It will not be able to detect UV light.

This is a fantastic tool for analyzing and measuring lighting data. The ability to plot the results, in addition to the raw data such as Lux, CCT, and CRI, provides valuable insight into the data. In a comparison plot, a spectrum plot can show the peak wavelength as well as the effect of filters applied to the light source. The Lighting Navigator app is simple to use and provides basic functions, while the Spectrum Genius Essence app adds even more functionality by providing additional data readings and more advanced plotting with R graphs, CIE plots, and other features. The measured data can be saved in the app database, allowing you to compare any previous lighting measurement to a current or other previous measurement, which comes in handy when comparing lighting products. In comparison to traditional lighting measurement tools, it is much easier to share data from a smart device. If you're serious about lighting, this product is a must-have. br>br>I had previously given this product one star because the app on which the device is based stopped working with newer versions of iOS, and it took over two months for it to be fixed.
