Despite the fact that it's a bit pricey, it's really great for the money

It's one of the best starter kits. There have only been a few reviews about my work that were negative. As far as I'm concerned, the clamps don't have temperature compensation, but I don't work in sub zero temperatures. There was also a limited range of Bluetooth devices. It is true that the signal is blocked by walls, but when you walk back towards the condensing unit(s), the signal is automatically reestablished.

The smart probes of the Testo VS Fieldpiece

The reason I bought these was because I have been a big fan of Testo for over 10 years. There was no difference in quality or design between the old and new. This is an extremely cheaply made product. Their clamps don't have the features of the Fieldpiece, like an outdoor led, warnings when the probes lose contact, better software etc etc. The temperature clamp springs are too loose and won't latch onto 1/4" or 3/8" pipes not to mention how slow they are. There is an additional cost associated with the fieldpiece set, but it is really Fieldpiece has never been one of my favorites, but their smart probes have earned them a high rating. My preference still goes to Testo's manifold which I think is superior to the fieldpiece manifold, and I hope they can continue improving their smart probes in the future to make them more competitive. In the meantime, I'll continue to use the best product, no matter how much it costs.

Best money spent, when the AC season hits and you have a long day of break downs this set up is very easy to use. Most of the duct probes fall out, but besides that, they work like a charm.
