Selected User Reviews For Hioki CM4376 AC/DC True-RMS Clamp Meter, 1000A with Innovative Jaw for Remarkable Accessibility, Built in Bluetooth
This clamp meter is fantastic. I use this clamp meter on a daily basis because it has excellent build quality, feels great in the hand, and fits into even the most crowded electrical panels. Except for capacitance, which takes a second to read (fluke is lightning fast in every way), readings are lightning fast. I have a Fluke 375 as well, and this Hioki is on par with it in terms of overall quality. I prefer this to the Fluke 375 because of the extremely thin clamp and the fact that the continuity function includes a screen red alert, which is useful in noisy environments where the beep is difficult to hear.
So far, this clamp meter has served me well. I've only taken a few measurements so far, but the logging feature is something I'm looking forward to using.
It performs admirably.
On conductors, very stable dc current readings drive all over the place cheap clamp meter readings. Bluetooth app with useful and well-designed features. Clamp design is unrivaled, allowing it to reach places that others can't. It can measure both peak and RMS currents in an inrush current, but it can't go below 1 amp. It does not have a flex CT option. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. This, too, came from Japan. (Photo 1- Inrush and current flow in real time; Photo 2- Inrush current peak, RMS, and waveform as seen on Gennect Cross, the company's Android app.
I bought this from Hioki and compared it to Fluke 289, 116, and 375 readings, and it's just as accurate. I like how it includes both a temperature and an AC DC reading. In addition, this meter and the app work well together.
