Is it low cost? You bet! How can quality be so low? I haven't noticed that. I can honestly say that these micrometers are some of the best that I have The product can easily be compared to top brands like Starrett & Co. The Mitutoyo company. Having a great feeling in the hands and awesome ratchet feedback is what makes these amazing. The movement is smooth and uninterrupted from 0 to 10 The number "0". The information is accurate and up-to-date There is no adjustment needed out of the box (calibrated dead on zero. The number 0000). It's a nice box to have included. I like it a lot. The plastic is durable and has a nice latch and hinge. Mics that work well in the lab and on the shop floor. Excellent book. I recommend it.
