Questions & Answers

What if the accuracy is What is "0001"? What if the smallest graduation is the same as ?

There is a graduation of 0 on the micrometer. The number "0001". The readings were within +/- 10% using gage blocks The number "0001". It is possible for the post anvil to bend when too much torque is applied to the spindle. This changes the reading by 0 easily. The knot must be tightened to 0.0002" for it to work. When I tighten, I reach for the ratchet and use a 2-inch wrench You need to click three times. It is possible to distort the anvil/frame by a few tenths when using the spindle barrel as a tightener. However, this is an elastic distortion, not a permanent one. Also, keep in mind that the roughness of the tube finish will often affect the accuracy of the Generally, this micrometer is very good for measuring drawn tubing. It is very rare to find tubing with an inside finish that has been ground. In non-English versions of the transcript, graduations are a little faded and difficult to read Lighting that is ideal. Tuning lower end microphones is also part of what I do. Spindle nut must be tightened to eliminate play in the spindle, and graduated sleeve must be rotated so that it is aligned with the spindle. With respect to the spindle position, the 025" marks are aligned.

A ball anvil is found on this micrometer, but what is its diameter?

In this case, is the diameter. This is "189".

What country does this come from?

It was not possible for me to find information regarding where it was manufactured on the micrometer or box. Upon reviewing the Anytime Tools website, I see that many of their tools are made in the United States. There are no additional details I can provide you with.

Comparing it to mitutoyo's build quality and even the RCBS's ball micrometer, how does it compare?

the readings on my Mitutoyo to yours and they were the same. I have not found that it's as accurate as more expensive brands, but I can get by with it.

I like the product a lot, it works really well for my needs, and it is much better than I expected for the price
5/5

I just wanted something to measure brass cases necks, and this is exactly what I was looking for, and it is much better than I had anticipated. Feels very solid as far as the gauge lock and functions are concerned. The most common case is when it just needs to be set and forget. My heart rate must stay below zero to keep me alive This is what I need for my 300blk necks. For quick brass tests, I can lock in tight and hold it in a mini vice. In addition to 308 matches, I also use it. You might have to make do if that is what you intend and you do not want to spend twice as much if you want I am glad I took the opportunity to learn.

You get a lot for your money! 1 piece to fit 223 brass fine
5/5

It is written in North American English with clear instructions. * B 2. With no adjustments, the zero on arrival will always be the same. Three key points. A smooth rotation of the thimble is achieved throughout its range. 2.
3.
4. If you extend the thimble to a full 1", it fits into the case. (I wish my Starrett depth mic did This is a real 5. )

4. A plastic coated orange label is on top and the end of case stating the 6

. A bit of soft foam is in the lid. It is a nice and stiff foam, but it's cut for a regular micrometer C-size As a result of the frame instead of this model's shorter shape, it does not clunk around as much, but is far better than the wooden boxes in which my Starrett gauges are located. I have seven. Despite its blue color, the box is quite sturdy, and it features a metal hinge pin as well. There's no chance of it getting crushed in a toolbox. (It can't handle a car like my routered micrometer boxes, but it could handle a riding mower if that's your standard for *) However, I'm happy with the price point.

A very good tool for a very good price
5/5

Since I rarely need to use a Tube Micrometer, this economical model is the right one for my needs. The tool is clean and accurate to the limits of my abilities to test it, and it is a good tool for the price. If it is cared for and fed like any fine shop instrument, I believe it will last and remain accurate for a number of years to come. As a matter of fact, I have used it in ways that I did not think were possible until now. An odd shape such as a tube or non-standard shape can be measured easily With a flat part, you may be tempted to measure stuff just because you can, and there is no such thing as having too much knowledge regarding the dimensions of what you are working on. It is better to know the dimensions and not need them than not know them This is a great tool when you run into tube stock whose hole isn't precisely in the center and you want to gauge the consistency of the wall thickness, and thus to know whether the bore is egocentric or not. You should definitely consider this micrometer for its intended use, as well as any other use you may have in mind. As a hobbyist who likes to work at home and is not doing rocket surgery, but only occasionally needs to find the size of items and doesn't want to spend too much on measuring equipment, it should be able to do the trick for you. I use it all the time.

I am very impressed with the precision
5/5

What a shock. It was purchased so that I could see what the neck wall thickness in my neck turned brass 338 Lapua was. Based on the reading I took, I found the neck wall to be 13mm thick Whereas most of them exhibited a wide range of 5, this one demonstrated a continuous 14, which was consistent every time. I have no measurements of the necks of my cases. Choose a bushing that fits your neck correctly if you're choosing a neck sizing. Is one more accurate than the other? I just watched a video on this ball micrometer, and I just think it was more precise than the previous one. The repeatability of my work is more important to me as a reloader. It is obvious that if you were a mechanic or something else then you would probably need more of this device. Overall, I am very pleased with how the device works for my context. It makes things so much easier if you get the stand.

This is an excellent value for the price
5/5

It is exactly what I was looking for, and it works well. My purpose for getting it was to measure the thickness of case necks on brass rifle cases, and it works great for that, and has enough accuracy for the tolerances I need. After it is set, I check it against a few standards periodically, and once that is done, it doesn't need further adjustments. There's a bit of resistance to the dial as it spins, but it's not bad, and it's not enough to stop it from being usable. A pretty much similar tool, branded by one of the major suppliers, can be purchased for 50% more, yet are just as accurate and of the same quality. There are a lot of cheap Chinese-style products on the market today I didn't have high expectations considering it was a home-made tool My expectation is that the quality and feel will not be as good as Mitutoyo or Starrett. When you look at the accuracy and repeatability, as well as the cost, this is an excellent product.

Microphone positioned in a tube
5/5

For the price, this seems to be a pretty good mic. Had to calibrate it when I got it since it seemed out of alignment when I received it. Test the readings with a Gage block and you will find that they are When I first ran it up and down, the threads were a little tight and coarse but after a few passes, they loosened up. In addition, I had to loosen the screws on the lock lever since it wouldn't fully release.

An accurate and consistent translation
4/5

This ratchet mode seems very accurate to me, and the ratchet mechanism is also very nice. For reloading, I will use this measuring device to check the case neck thickness. Compared to feeler gauges, it shows to be accurate. You only lose a star when you pull the barrel out beyond When you look at the threads of 4", you can feel a little roughness, but it does not affect.

I love it! What a shock
5/5

Very impressed with your work. As soon as I received the micrometer, I was thrilled by its precision and smoothness. It's quite reasonable for a tool of this quality ($37). Despite their small size, the anvil is extremely well made, along with all the other components.
The ratchet on the back that delivers constant pressure when turning down the spindle is very crisp and consistent, helping you get the same pressure with every measurement. It was very good to meet 0001. Understanding each of the three scales on the spindle and thimble respectively, which are each used to give another level of accuracy, requires some reading of the instructions. When there is no other value, At the hour of 0000. Once you reach , you get It turned out to be a great purchase and I am going to order a clamp style holder to go.
