Product Description

This set comes with a digital dial indicator and a magnetic base that are universally compatible. With the indicator base, you can use them with many dials / digital indicators and other market indicators.

Is it possible to use a dial indicator with a stem of 3/8" in the base?

I'm not sure. The measuring tape is fully open. There is a 3/8" difference.

Are there any cases included with this?

Not included with the base, but comes with the case for the dial indicator.

Do you have a "max reading" function included in this device, or does the display always point to the correct ?

The repeatability is good when trying to find a range of go/no go conditions. But if you are testing ranges, then no. Additionally, the ntk021 has a mini usb output that you can connect to a computer if you would like to measure and log data in that way. You can find videos on YouTube showing how to do this.

The program has proven to be very accurate, at least for the levels of tolerance required in woodworking. On cast iron tops, the base magnet is very powerful, and it is heavy enough to stay in place when used on wood or other surfaces. Those with a magnetic field. Good value for the money.

It was really nice to see how well the magnet switch worked. The application needs a lot more power than what is required. Checking the tools that I use in my woodworking seems to be easy with this gauge. The design is appealing to me. There is no way in which I can test the accuracy, so I rated it.
