There is no doubt that the rigidity of the gage holder limits the factory. To go along with this, I bought a Noga, and it seems to move about as well. It is not too surprising that the unit is labeled "0001" after touching it. At work, I use this tool to set up equipment, and it has proved to be a valuable purchase. It will last for quite some time, so it is worth the cost.
