It's a good idea to auto turn off the lights. You lose your zero after auto shutoff if you have one set. This is not an issue for me because I use it for a while but only measure for a few minutes. The program needs to remember the last settings or it needs to be faster. When you turn it on, it will be zero where ever you turn it. It has auto-off function and remembers last setting. I'm looking for another one that doesn't have that feature.

You can substitute aluminum or brass sheet around the plunger rod, then unscrew the tip with another pair of pliers while holding the aluminum or brass sheet. If you want to unscrew the factory tip, you must not hold the indicator body. (Why would you expose yourself to damage inside your body? I was within a few kilometers. One inch travel with a margin of 0. 005". There are no problems with any of the functions. With a knurled cap covering the top of the plunger, the plunger is exposed. After several decades of buying US made Machine tools, I am reluctant to buy Chinese made ones. You can grab this barrel and use it to raise / lower the measurement tip (some indicators are sealed on top). I appreciate their efforts now that I have bought and tested their products. There is no need to include in my application. There is no negative to say about this unit, as it features a 0001" resolution.

There is nothing better than a dial indicator that works smoothly and lets you see what you are doing. Solidly built, it is good to use. My hopes are that it will hold up for a long time and I would buy it It is a pleasure to work with one of the best companies to deal with on the web. A great deal of emphasis is placed on customer service. It was not an automated answer I had an answer from them by 4am the same day. I emailed them at 3am and they responded by 4am the same day. I received a response from a real person.

Very good gauge, thank you. I feel this is a very solid piece of equipment. The plunger mechanism is very smooth and responsive. There are ultra-close tolerances and a very tight Despite it being inexpensive, this gauge is one of the better gauges I have used. The digital display is sharp and easy to read, and it is also responsive. I have only one criticism which is that it is not possible to store the gauge in the included case when the lug back is attached. You must either store it outside of the plastic case or swap the back every time you wish to store it.

would have liked this indicator more if I liked it. Although it is very useful, one major disadvantage is that it cannot be used on a dial In order to read it upright, it has to be turned over. When you need to read it upside-down, mounting it in a position that forces you to do that is a huge pain. Having a display that can be flipped would have been great if the designer had thought about it and added a button for I find that the dial indicator is much more convenient than the dropdown menu. This digital indicator is great, and works so much smoother than my dial indicator. That's why I am rating it 5 stars. There won't be a button on the side to flip the display, so I will not penalize it.

For my purposes, it is a good dial indicator I use it to level the print bed on my 3d printer (Creation I like that it is accurate and a little on the cheap side of construction, but it meets From Thingiverse, I printed a frame to mount it on my printer. 3D printers love cheap stuff, so it was a good choice!.

It's a work-in-progress, but it's working well. This dial indicator is easy to read and has a good dial design. There is a problem with viewing angles on LCD displays - the LCD is a bit picky about what it can take. From above, the text is a bit difficult to read. The mirror is a hassle to use, and the flashlight makes it impossible to read it on some applications, so a mechanical dial is the way to go. A 5 would be given if the screen were easier to read when it was off An angular format. There is a flush/flat backplate included in the kit as well as a 'loop' backplate that is standard. Installing that one, however, means it won't fit in the lovely plastic case it came in. This item comes with an extra battery.

It is a mystery to me why I didn't purchase this indicator sooner. It is the only one I've found yet that is accurate enough to work with steel, and it is I took measurements quite a few times on for my table and toolbox, and it always showed the same results. The ring is relatively easy to turn and the hand movement is quite smooth and responsive. I was worried that the hand movement would be out of synch, but it was very accurate. In some of the reviews, it seems that way, but I find that to be not the case. For proper operation, a screw has to be loosened when locking the ring. This screw is very obvious for its function and is extremely useful. As for the thing itself, it works great every time and I enjoy using it. The money spent was well spent!.
