In a shirt pocket, it fits perfectly. I need it to be as accurate as possible. Just add 5 mm or 3/8 (the width of the teeth) to the gauge measurement and it will measure inner surfaces. This item is very well made, but the finish is not as smooth as it should be. The sharpness of these things can be enhanced if you know how to bring up a rough milled surface to a jewel-like gloss.
For the price, this brass product is of good quality, has clear markings, and slides smoothly. It is easy to carry around, and only has a vernier Caliper thickness must be added to inside measurements. Does not read inside measures directly. There was an accessory I needed for my steam engine that was brass Costuming from the era of engineering should evoke the same feeling without being cumbersome, and this does that very well. This tool is useful for obtaining measurements (I obtained the measurements I needed) and works This vernier only works on the metric side there is no vernier for the imperial side. Doing a quick measure, not for precision. This quick measure looks good, but it isn't precise. This is a small, "cute" size that does what I need.
This product is okay, but it's hard to see the numbers. A pen should have been used to ink the numbers. It is metric, too, so that's why I got it. With the outer lip, the discrepancy can be measured and marked on the caliper for inside measurements. This is the case for me. I measure up to 5mm. In addition, it is marked with a 1/10 decimal. Despite trying, the nylon case was ruined by a dirty sticker from the store that couldn't be removed. I agree that it would have been better if it had been labeled and put in a nylon bag.
One major disappointment is that although it has a line to display inner and outer measurements, there is no line to show readouts of inner measurements. If I draw a line in the model, perhaps I can measure it using the ID. On a positive note, the markings seem to be clearly and easily readable. There are no apparent ridges, and it appears to slide easily. No sticker with the numbers and lines is on the CD.
It accomplishes exactly what I hoped for. With it, you will have access to a pocket-sized For woodworking projects, measuring tools should be of the right size. As this scale is hard to read and, of course, isn't highly accurate, I wouldn't use it when I was seeking precise measurements (a dial caliper would be a better tool to use). He likes its size. A little bit of a tighter grip is not a problem. It slides smoothly and This tool is very useful.
Smaller projects are perfect for this tool. Although the fit and finish are not perfect, for the money, a few minutes with some fine sandpaper will make them perfect. I think the cost is reasonable for what you are getting.
With its easy-to-read numbers and accurate measurement, this caliper is very easy to use. It is much better than expected at such a low price. I am very pleased with.
This is exactly what I need for my craft work.
