The numbers and graticules are etched into the substrate, or are they printed?

In short, yes. Nonetheless, the slide was too stiff and sticky for my taste. Getting it exactly where we wanted it proved difficult. It's not a product I would recommend.

Can you tell me where they are ?

It is already answered in the product technical details section, so for me personally, I would prefer that buyers read the already available information before asking questions here I'll take it.

In order to fit its pincers into a 2 mm diameter circle, the pincers must have a flexible base. Do they have the ability to?

A 5mm point of the caliper is at the reduced part of the tool, and a 3mm pointed end is at the pointed end. That's what I'm hoping to help you with.

Can you tell me the dimensions of this As stated in the product information, this item comes in at A multiplication of 8 x 3 is equal to 16. The sum of 9 x 1 is 9. It may only be 2 inches, but that seems much too large to hold in a hand. ?

Pocket Caliper perfect for any pocket
4/5

Several months ago I was looking for a pocket caliper (hospital maintenance & & The biomedical field. **Though it is a little Swiss-made, the 141ME has plenty of power This is a built caliper made from may be a little stiff when they are brand My solution was to use dry Teflon film coupled with some heat It broke it in a nice way. A yellow color will help you keep track of it, and you will be able to find it easily. Strong, stiff, and resilient - that's what FRN is An easy carry. While the markings are not as precise as those of a Starrett or a Mitutoyo, they are fine. Mitutoyo does not seem to have a pocket caliper, and the excellent Starrett 1025 Series is 25x more expensive. My older, US-style mailbox has been replaced with a new one A pocket caliper in the General 132ME series was made, and It feels more like a toy than anything else. In the case of stamped metal, the material is too thin for real accuracy. If you kept it in your pocket over time, I'm sure it would bend.

So, for the price, the 141ME is a major bargain. Field measurements can be done with it because it is accurate enough The DIY model is really robust, and it's easy to read and understand An easy carry.

This caliper isn't a plastic fan, but a fan of this kind
4/5

The 141ME Pocket Caliper is the subject of this review. Having ordered and tried several different pocket calipers, including several brass and stainless pocket calipers made by General Tools, I found this particular pocket caliper to be top of the line. While I was surprised none of the metal calipers beat this one in terms of precision or usability, none could beat it in terms of precision or use. It is surprising to find that it is made in Switzerland, and even though it is made of reinforced plastic, the fit and finish on the item are excellent, and I really like how well the product feels in my hand. For a caliper of this type, it is reasonably accurate. There is no precision vernier caliper in this purchase, but that is not what you will receive. It does seem like some of the printing is starting to wear away but the indices appear to be holding up fairly well considering that they are etched. It would have been nice if the outside measurement marker had been set in a small amount rather than being on the edge of the caliper, but it is one of those minor details. The top of the cylinder has a little inch scale ruler in 1/16ths which is nice. To make the action even smoother, I sprayed a very small amount of lock graphite on it, and it’s It took me five or six small pocket calipers before I found this one to be the best.

My favorite thing about mini calipers is their small size
5/5

It's pretty awesome to have calipers made out of plastic! In the past couple of months, in order to pass the time while working from home, I bought 3 Here's a 4" brass all brass one from Amazon. Item 4 in the list. The brass 5" calipers came from Home Depot, and the plastic 4" calipers came from Lowe's. It is hard to measure the 4" all brass since it has little resistance and is not very reliable. When I used the Home Depot set for the first time, it cut my thumb. There is a lot of resistance to moving them, and it needs a lot of force. They hold their measurement but it is ultimately much more difficult to set the measurement when you first use them. I totally recommend this yellow plastic set because it is not only lightweight and extremely accurate, but also made from quality The slide is very smooth. If you buy them, you won't regret it.

A great product that's easy to handle and built tough from fiberglass! This model is fiberglass rather than metal, and that is why I chose it
4/5

As far as metal calipers go, I have a similar one from General Tools, which is thin, sharp, pokey, scratches delicate objects, and is not pocket friendly (bloody fingertips if you're not careful). 141ME compares to the 141E in that it is thicker, has smooth and rounded corners, is kinder to objects, and is more pocket-friendly. I can count on it being accurate within a few centimeters for my eyesight. Five millimeters. This caliper appears to be made of fiberglass and the word plastic is not mentioned in the packaging. I was surprised when I saw "Made in Switzerland" written in the ruler slot of an Arca plate but I do not recall the reason why. The reason it's so expensive is probably that it's among the few items on Amazon that are not made in China. A catch is in store A few days after only using it a couple of times, the silkscreened numbers near the thumb grip (the textured bump that expands the rule) are beginning to wear off. I do not come into contact with solvents other than a little finger sweat. The review will need to be amended if it continues to degrade. Initially, the sliding rule was a bit stiff, but with some use and a little silicon lubricant on a Q-tip, it became much easier to use. Stick to it. The 141ME is an excellent tool since I can use it worried-free, not worrying about poking myself or scratching my delicate art It is just a matter of measuring quickly and getting started. This gauge is accurate, smoothly glides, is easy to use with one hand, and the fiberglass is very durable, so I'm happy with it as long as I can read the numbers clearly.

This is exactly what I was looking for to take already have a metal pocket scale of about this size
5/5

I wanted a plastic one to use when near magnets as well as to be compact and easy to carry. We found this to be a good match. It is light (weight), but is sturdy enough to be thrown around on the workbench. I have to move it with two hands since it is a bit stiff, but if it wasn't, then it would not "hold" the measurement when I removed it from the object. It is one of those tools that, once you have one, you will never want to be without it. When I prefer to do nothing more than compare size without actually reading the scale, I use this technique. Don't forget to put it on the second one after you've put it on the first The first one should fit snugly. If there is room to move, the second one can be a bit Definitely a cool tool to take with you if you go to the hardware store or for other purposes. The tool is perfect for checking the size of those drill bits you have lying.

I used it for a year and a half (yellow plastic)
5/5

Here's what the yellow plastic version looks like There is already a digital caliper I can use for measurement that makes a critical difference to my mission. I do not always have it on me since it's heavy, needs batteries, and I'm not always carrying it. I can slip this little yellow plastic one into my pocket because it has a low profile. ****Not only do I carry it with me wherever I go, I have it in my laptop bag as well. The tool is really convenient to take to a supply store to check material thicknesses, and to measure quickly while doing CAD work. I also need to measure the thickness of magnets because I work with them a lot. If you're working with magnets, try using metal calipers! It can also be used as a short ruler and straight edge since it rests flat on a table. Here's a bonus It is made in Switzerland, as you can see on the back.
