Excellent tool that can withstand a lot of punishment
5/5

This was purchased to scribe measurements onto cars for cutting and flaring. The system works well so far and is perfectly balanced. At first, I was concerned that they wouldn't lock securely in the held position, but they have so far worked out well. Since then, I have put quite a bit of punishment on these, and so far they have held up nicely.

This is a really good deal
5/5

This is an excellent product. I have seen many versions and read many reviews on it. Whenever I buy tools, I take a few days or weeks to think about them because I don't want to have any regrets or have to return them. In terms of picking up returns, UPS has a poor track record. It will not be returned to a wrong door again if they have come to the wrong door and they will not leave a shipping label for you to use to I have no complaints about how well built the product is. You would expect it to be more expensive due to the way it feels and looks. There is a leather pouch I need to make for it, so I'm off to make one.

This is junk
3/5

The two points on the picture are not aligned, one is higher than the other - you can see that in the picture. This is not a good thing. Because I am using them to mark the size of an internal tenon on the lathe, they should work for me. The only thing I need is something heavy duty since I only touch one tip and see if it is aligned with the other, not both at once.

As far as I can tell, everything is The scribe is quite sturdy, the tips are sharp, and it holds its position well
5/5

I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to hold up To measure and scribe areas for my stained glass projects, I use it both as a measuring tool and a cutting instrument. In terms of measuring, I am confident it will continue to serve as well. A more difficult question is whether the points continue to be sharp. There is no way to replace the points. This is a product I'd buy again without a doubt.

Following a two-month rest period, surfaces must be repaired

The surface of the vinyl began to pit after a few weeks of moderate indoor use.

For the price you pay, these are very good wing dividers
5/5

In leather crafting, these are used to divide wing sections. I find the size a little big for my needs, but it doesn't stop me from using them. The materials used in them are very sturdy and easy to handle The tips on the tips don't cut too hard, but are sharp enough to make marks on There's one thing I don't like about the design The tips don't quite match up vertically (they're off by about half a millimeter or so). The professional calipers are expensive, but you get levels of precision that you don't find on the common ones. In addition to offering smaller wing dividers, this brand would be a great choice for me again.

Good value for the money
3/5

No, they aren't made by Starrett! Despite their limitations, these are good enough to do simple DYI layout work. The points meet in the middle and the thumb screw adjusting is adequate. I didn't have to do any adjusting to get them to function.

A precision tool is not at all necessary
3/5

As much as I hate writing negative reviews, I have to say that this is the worst tool I have ever purchased from Two tips of the screw are not aligned one is sharp and the other rounded there is a great deal of play in the screw axis. This is a tool that cannot be used for anything other than what it is intended for. There is simply no way the build quality can be that poor, you can never expect to get precise marks from these. Keep searching!.
