Even though spring is a little stiff, I always squeeze my arms together a little tighter; to ease up on the pressure when adjusting the knurled nut It's fine to have a plane polished steel finish (rather than a gleaming one). A thick layer of lube has formed, which must be removed with a clean rag (not parts cleaner).

I bought these to replace my worn-out Sterrats, and they're fine, but they're too tight. They'd be fantastic if they were just a little looser.
