I believe I paid $8 for this, and it was one of the best investments I made for my medicine clerkship and related electives. Calipers on the floors are extremely useful, and you'd be surprised how often you're the only one with them in your pocket. These are excellent value for money. The needles are fine, allowing for precision, and the caliper is stiff, preventing it from slipping as you march out P waves and other maneuvers. However, light use loosens the caliper, necessitating frequent tightening of the screws visible beneath the knob. If you want to be a cardiologist or just have some spare cash, I recommend locking calipers.
For counting boxes, these are nice, small points. It usually stays tight, but when it does loosen (which isn't often), it's simple to tighten with a small screwdriver. The cap's ruler isn't particularly useful.
The caliper moves and does not lock, so it is impossible to measure and move it. There is no lightening mechanism, only an insert on top of the ball.
I needed a good pair of calipers for a couple of classes. The points are razor-sharp and do not slip when in use. The arms remain fixed in the set position and do not move once in place. This is a high-quality set at a reasonable price.
This business should provide a reasonable method of measuring what the caliper claims. It comes with a measurement tool that is poorly designed.
This caliper is very good. It will be the first and last time I do something like this. I keep it on my telemetry unit all of the time because it's stylish, has a pocket clip, and can be adjusted. It also has enough resistance to open and close as you move around the room to measure. Another nurse on my floor recommended it to me, and I'd recommend it to others as well.
The product was appealing to me.
They perform admirably. I was under the impression that this model was locked because of the ball on top, but it is not; however, it still works well and does not move when measuring.
