This seemed like an appropriate complement to the Wall Control pegboard panels I recently purchased- I adore it. This, on the other hand, is cheesy by design and, in my opinion, is not an appropriate accessory. After removing a cheesy rubber cap, slide the wood dowel out through the side to replace or load a roll of paper towels. To change the roll, you'll need a space the width of that same wood dowel next to where it's mounted. The most common use for these pegboard panels is to hang things on them. As a result, the width of the dowel and, presumably, the height of a new roll of paper towels must be left clear next to this paper towel holder. Yeah. Nothanks. I'm coming back. I already have basic paper towel holders in various locations throughout the garage. They'll get the job done, and they're less expensive and more practical.
I bought this to use as a cover for my garage work area. It went up quickly on the metal pegboards I ordered from Wall Control. It's simple to get from one location to another. Because I'm a nut for organization, I had to fiddle with it to get it exactly where I wanted it, and it let me do that very well. br>br>It was nice and sturdy after it was mounted. Even after placing a small level, measuring tape, and razor knife on the shelf near the roll (the shelf is a nice touch), I was able to rip paper towels off without it rattling. It can easily accommodate large rolls of paper towels, which is convenient if you're going to make a mess. br>br>Like all of the Wall Control products I've tried, this is a high-quality, well-designed, heavy-duty piece of equipment. Wall Control, you've done a fantastic job.
I looked at this Wall Control unit again with the same thought that led me to purchase galvanized panels: I wanted something that would be permanent, heavy-duty, and versatile, and it would be even better if it looked good. It's extremely practical- cleaning supplies on a shelf- every single one of them I looked at a lot of paper towel dispensers, and they were all the same, and they weren't particularly heavy-duty or practical. The majority of them took up the space that a pegboard system was supposed to free up on the desktop. So I went ahead and bought it. and it made sense--done with it, get back to work-- Cleaning supplies are kept in a convenient location and can be reached quickly. Two rubber caps that can slide off hold the spindle for the paper towel roll in place. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but they're simple to use. It all made sense once I had it in place and was using it. This is a fantastic addition to your Wall Control workbench!.
This was purchased so that I could have some shop towels on hand in my garage. It performs admirably as- publicized The rubber endcaps are the only thing keeping the dowel from sliding in and out of the holder. br>br>The only niggling aspect of this is that the dowel is held in the groove by the rubber endcaps. This is acceptable in most circumstances-- However, removing the end caps is a bit fiddly if your hands are covered in oil, axle grease, or other grime. Before you begin working, double-check that you have a fresh towel roll.
Ribbons, bag straps, or any other large spool can be held in this holder. I use it in conjunction with the other Wall Control accessories. The following are some disadvantages: 1. br>br> The shelf needs to be weighted down because it does not stay on the brackets on its own. This could be due to minor pegboard warping during installation, removal, or transportation, or it could be something else entirely. I'm glad the shelf is there, though, because it makes the space more usable.
2. Once installed, the rod is a pain to work with, especially if it has spools. The round slots that hold the rod are shaped in such a way that it can't be lifted vertically out of them (which is probably a good thing because the rod won't fall out while you fiddle with it). Remove one of the white caps and slide the rod horizontally while keeping it level to prevent the spools from falling off. It's not going to work. It only takes a little practice and careful maneuvering to master this breaker. br>br>Overall, I like most of Wall Control's accessories and boards, and this is a fantastic addition to my craft room.
I use it to attach sticker rolls so that I can quickly remove what I require. I also use it to store sticker rolls for my rollo printer, which I feed into the printer. It's so much easier this way, and I can pick and choose which one I want to use. It's a tough piece. The weight of these rolls is substantial, and they do not sag. The solidity and strength of the wood stick are impressive. In addition, the metal is attractive and sturdy. I'm thinking about getting some more.
My only real criticism is that it could have been designed to make changing paper towel rolls easier. Currently, removing the rod necessitates removing a plastic cap. My hands don't work as well as they used to, so perhaps others can remove the plastic cap more easily than I can, but it still appears they could have done a better job with that part.
It's very functional and comfortable. To reduce the amount of movement on the wall control board, I tightened the tabs on the sides of the attachment points.
