It sort of does. It is common to see supermarkets use plastic to restrict air movement and it can work for that, but the different air temperatures and humidity causes the plastic to sweat (condense). This is not the best solution.

Is it going to last in the sun for a long time?

I don't know, but I would like to. As part of our walk-through, we covered the ground with this product. There is a crawl space underneath. The product was very helpful in that regard.

I used this product to cover the space under the house in which I often walk

My expectations were met and I was pleased with the ease of use. As well as the price, it was good. In order to keep it in place, I laid gravel on top of the poly on the ground. As part of the partition, I also hung Poly to divide the area that I now use for my workshop. I love it!.

This is a much more mature alternative to the Slip N Slide

While this should be used for far more mature purposes, it works as an effective slip N slide. Save money and go with this idea instead of funding Big-eared toys. Co. Slip is an insurance company.
