The three moves in the last 18 months have all been for different properties. We purchased carpet film from the local big box home improvement store the first time. had a thickness of 3 mils and was 24 inches thick. They had only one wide roll, so having to cover our carpet with the plastic wrap you use in the kitchen was like trying to cover our rug with butcher paper. As well as this, it took two passes to cover the carpet, which used a lot of products. In addition, it was thin and tore easily, so it didn't last to the move. This film, on the other hand, is 7 mil thick and 36" wide. It was used on the stairs for 14 days with no tears, great coverage and when it came time to remove, came off leaving no residue, leaving the carpets looking exactly as they did before it was rolled on. I love this product. No bad smell at all. ***** I will buy again! Each time we got to the wall, we cut, then repositioned and continued the descent. Due to our 44" wide staircase, there was an area of 4" on either side of the main walkway.

Unless there is some kind of professional roller dispenser I need to order, I am unable to understand the good reviews here. The paper was sticky on one side which I was not expecting and got stuck so bad, it was like the worst saran wrap nightmare you may have ever experienced. There are just no ways to get close to corners or to keep it from wrinkleing, let alone to figure out how I'm talking about the first line, not the six more I had to write. Additionally, it is not a thick gauge at all. Two of my coworkers and I helped me staple guns in corners with clear 5 ml or higher paints (I was mistaken - I thought it was paint) and it was a straightforward task. As if you are all playing Twister where you step on the dots and step over each other to hold stuff down. THAT too didn't.

The floor held up well after we put it down. It had been down for over 30 days when we decided to remove it and we didn't run into any issues. Having the carpet repaired instead of having to replace it was well worth the cost.

In order to avoid having any problems with it, I recommend following the directions and taking it off after 3 days. Some of the boxes were for sale as used ones to movers who might purchase them in the future. I definitely had more than I needed! Increasingly likely to buy it again or recommend it to protect your new carpet during removal or when service people arrive for a project in your house.

The function is functioning correctly. As others have stated, the product was a bit difficult to start but once it was configured it worked well. As movers walked on lighter carpet in December when there was snow on the ground outside, they were able to protect the carpet from the dirty shoes, so that was a plus. The stairs led to all the bedrooms, so putting the furniture on the steps took some time, but it was worth it in the end. On the hard wood floor, we got some of it on, and it left some residue behind, which we had to scrub with a steam mop. As a whole, it is a very.

They stayed on the carpet until we had time to get them off. We left it down about one week after we were ready. Once it was ready, it came up very easily with very little effort. I was able to move it, move a cat, move a dog, and have children without destroying it. We had movers say they really enjoyed it and thought they should order some to include with the services they offer.

It is a terrible product! It does not peel off the roll easily, nor does it adhere to the carpet. It was a huge waste of time and money!.

The product is great, but it is a little hard to get started due to Despite its durability, it stays put once put It did not stick after I'd done all the traffic areas, so I had to remove it all! I bought some cheaper versions at Lowe's last year, and they did not adhere after I did all the traffic areas!.
