I bought a roll anyway, and found that these complaints were not valid. My installation was easy and I was able to do it on my own in little time with minimal waste. This program is easy to be installed and removed. Prior to the remodeling of my master bathroom that was supposed to take 3 weeks, I purchased this piece. As part of spring/sloppy construction, we had a long hallway with brand new carpet we didn't want to ruin. In reality, the project took almost three months due to the delays at We had 3 issues with the contractor in 19 3) 2 over the carpet in the center to protect it. replaced the roof about halfway through the project when we had a week break in construction due to the contractor's schedule. *After construction was completed, there was no residue left on our carpet (which was a concern because we applied it for so long and it is very durable), and it was easy to clean up. The purchase of this item would not be a hesitation for me in the future. The book has actually been recommended to a lot of people since then. My husband and I were able to apply in no time at all. I knew there would be a lot of muddy shoes entering and leaving the house while we were in the process of moving in because we had 8" of snow on the day we closed. We just had the carpets cleaned, so I did not want to ruin them, so this seemed like a better alternative than buying a ton of floor rugs. I was very happy with how things worked. This is an easy method to apply, but it takes a little time. In addition to covering the hallways, half of the living area, and the entire staircase, I also covered most of the dining room. Although the stairs were tricky, this stuff stayed in place all the way! It didn't even look half-bad! I think the floor is bad. Even if we were wearing just socks, I was concerned about how slippery it would be (especially on stairways), but it has just enough texture on top that I was not concerned about slipping. The hotel was perfect for all the needs we had. As I pulled the plastic up from the carpets, I found no sticky residue, and it was in fact a lifesaver for the carpet because the plastic had become brown as a result of all the water and mud on our shoes. If anyone needs to protect the carpet of their home for any reason, then I would recommend this product.

In our home, we do not wear shoes. I was worried that the movers would walk all over the carpet in their shoes when we recently moved into a new place.
