Rod is in good shape and has been machined with HSS tool bits

This rod was used to create studs for my 11" x 36" metal lathe's leveling feet. The rod was of good quality and had a nice finish that matched the Amazon ad photo. The 0. I ordered a 500" rod, and it was 0. I'll take 497" as a close match. Using high-speed steel tool bits on my lathe, I was able to machine the rod nicely. Chris.

die shop. This metal is of very high quality. I used it to hang two bird feeders across (through) a 1 x 1 square tube post, as well as to put two cross-braces on a 1 x 1 square tube post. For long-term stability, there are bars buried underground.
