The mesh is of good quality and strong. My purpose was to protect a shower drain with this, and it worked well for me. When I walk, I use a walk-in closet When I'm in the shower I can wash my dog (very much easier than taking him to the We needed something to catch all the hair ). It is basically just an open hole under the drain plate and I was concerned about dog hair clogging the drain or causing issues with the pipes. It wouldn't have worked with any of the drain protectors I saw in the store. My solution therefore was to buy this mesh, cut a piece that was the right size for the drain, and shove it down into it. am still able to fit the drain plate over it, but the mesh itself is strong enough that I can step directly on it without damaging it. In addition, it's quite smooth and feels fine when it's in contact with the am not concerned about it rusting or wearing through, and puncture holes are unlikely (at least There is no difficulty in flowing water through it, and the hair is caught easily. With a quick swipe with a tissue after a dog shower, you can pick up all that hair. Although I was pleasantly surprised, the mesh was actually a bit stronger than I had anticipated. The cut was made with a pair of kitchen shears since I did not have tin snips. I had to exert some muscle to get it to work. There are edges to watch out for, as others have noted. The stuff used for this kind of defense would probably win you a battle (and keep you safe). My drain needed to be bent and shaped to fit it into my drain, so I had to use pliers to do that. Hands alone are not enough to bend it, but to shape it or fold it one will need more than that. Wire mesh is very well made and I am happy with it.

I think the material is of high quality. The material is a bit hard to cut but bends relatively well into the shape you desire. My trailer wires are constantly being eaten by squirrels. This should solve the problem. The stuff here appears to be quite palatable, so I think they will eat through it.

To cover an inlet hole on my plastic 5 gallon pail which housed a sump pump, I used this screening. As a result, the pump and float are protected from debris surrounding the pump and hindering the float's ability to fall and shut off the pump. The SS screen appears to be just how I had hoped. Quite satisfied with the outcome.

It is sold here on Amazon as 20 mesh, which is 20 openings The package was labeled "18 mesh" when it arrived. Based on my measurements, the fabric is 18 mesh rather than 20 mesh.

I like this product. The fiberglass could not be used. A sample of aluminum was consumed in no time by birds. It lasted longer than expected, but it wasn't to be. We used this and we're happy with it! We've had it installed for several months now with no signs of wear. The next time I need more, I will purchase this again.
