Chrome is present at a rate of 17 percent in high carbon alloys, and The material contains 1% carbon, 1% manganese, 1% silicon, and 0% other metals. A molybdenum content of 17%
These are 1/8" x 1-1/2" x 12" in size
The hardness and wear resistance of this material are excellent as well as moderate corrosion resistance

Is this sharp enough to hold an edge if it is ?
One of the better steels for blades is 440C Stainless, and if you sharpen it, it will hold an edge better. As for 440A stainless, stay clear of it due to its inferior quality compared to 440C, which is used by many knife makers. Here is what I hope
