To make a key for the 5 inch, 5/8" arbor top v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v-shaped v A belt pulley from a Craftsman 113 from 1987. Perfect for the 243311 bandsaw. The key did not stop the pulley from wobbling on its own, but it fit the slots perfectly and allowed me to securely fasten the assembly to the arbor. I removed the wobble by carefully bending the pulley with a flat blade screwdriver wedged between the pulley and the belt cover, bending it outward where it was closest, and then retorqueing the 4mm Allen bolt to ensure the key didn't come out and get lost again.
I mean, it's a square piece of metal, so what else can I say? This is not a single shaft key; instead, it is an 8-inch piece of rod from which you can cut multiple shaft keys.
I could have ordered a bandsaw replacement part, but instead I received a key stock that I cut to size and have plenty left over for future projects. I also saved a lot of money because a single keyway was the same price as a 12-inch bar.
We thought the transmission on a John Deere lawn mower was broken, but it turned out that we just needed to keep the tire from spinning freely.
It just needs to be cut to length with a dremel. I used it to replace the wheel on my John Deere riding mower.
It is due to the minor undersized tolerance. The size is perfect. It's a very smooth fit thanks to the very slight undersized tolerance. There was no need for any additional light sanding in order to fit the key hole without cursing and using a lot of elbow grease.
On an older model Craftsman band saw, I needed to replace the drive shaft and flywheel connection. I tried ordering the part number from Sears at first, but after weeks of delays, I discovered this critical stock on Amazon for a much lower price. All I had to do was cut the piece to the length I required, and it was ready to use!.
That is precisely what I was looking for.
