This tubing appears to be for low-volume pressure. If it were up to me, I wouldn't risk it because the gasoline pressure could be too high.

This tubing is not suitable for Natural Gas or Propane. Tubing that meets NFPA 54 is required for Natural Gas and Propane. (yellow) This flammable liquid tubing complies with NFPA 31 and is listed as UL971 by the Underwriters Laboratories. (orange) They're not just different shades of the same color. Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is used in both of them. Copper tubing coated with ethylene (LDPE), but the Mueller OilShield NFPA 31 flammable liquid tubing's polyethylene coating has lengthwise grooves inside. Mueller GasShield NFPA 54 fuel gas isn't grooved (presumably for maximum corrosion protection), but it does have a polyethylene interface to help detect leaks in fuel oil. LDPE, contrary to popular belief, is not an oxygen barrier and has a porous sponge-like structure that makes it a poor barrier for both oxygen and fuel gases. The oxidation of copper isn't the issue here. The coating reduces the rate of corrosion on the outside of the tube by limiting the concentration of water and the mobility of dissolved ions at the copper tubing's surface. If you make any joints (such as joining two sections of tube), you should wrap the joint to keep it protected from corrosion for the entire length. The list of contaminants found in Natural Gas and L are still corroding and/or plugging the inside of the gas tube. Fuel oil tubes are far less likely to be corroded on the inside than gas tubes, and are far more likely to become sludge plugged. That's because copper has a tendency to catalyze the polymerization of some fuel oil components, resulting in larger, thicker, gooeier molecules.
