with the exception of 17 - KleenBore makes a special rod for those 20 jags.
That's what I believe. If you don't have one, any inexpensive plastic rod will suffice. I have a few different 9mms, and they all work well with the rod that I use.

Threading a patch through a slotted cleaning rod end isn't the best way to clean your barrel. The pressure applied to the wiper is more evenly distributed. I start by running a solvent patch through the barrel. Then I put it down and finish cleaning the rest of the gun before returning to it. After that, I scrub it inside with a bore brush and apply CLP patches until they're clean, then dry it off.
The BEST JAG I've ever used was the KLEENBORE BRASS JAG. Polymer, Plastic, Rubber, Copper, and Other Brass Jags are all things I've tried before. BUT, PERIOD, THIS JAG IS THE BEST BRASS JAG EVER MADE! I JUST LOVE HOW WELL MADE IT IS AND THE HIGH QUALITY BRASS, IT'S NOT JUST SOME CHEAP BRASS! WITH JUST A FEW PASSES AND A GOOD PATCH, YOU'RE READY TO GO! BUY THEM IF YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY!.
Brushes, mops, jags, cables, poles, you name it, I have it all when it comes to cleaning my handguns. This Kleen Bore jag has become my new favorite. br>br>A jag has three ESSENTIAL parts: The tip, the ribs, and the threads are all important parts of the body. It'll be a disaster if you get even one of these wrong. Period, end of game, no penalty shootout, sudden death, or a four-player match done. br>br>All three are SPOT ON in this jag: 1. br>br> The pointy tip penetrates and holds both cotton and synthetic patches with ease.
2. The ribs are significantly longer, thinner, and closer together than those on other jags of this type. These three characteristics increase the patch's surface area, allowing it to contact the inside of the barrel and collect all of the carbon, lead, and copper.
3. The threads are long enough to securely fasten the jag to a cleaning rod, but not so long that you only want to thread half of it on (Hoppe's threads are twice as long as they need to be, whereas Pro Shot's are about half as long). br>br>In conclusion, the only disadvantage I would mention is to be wary of the point: If you poke yourself with it carelessly, it's DAMN sharp.
The trick is to poke with the Jag offcenter (not in the dead center) while using circular pads. The jag plus patch will easily pass through the barrel if you do it this way.
There's not much more to say on the subject. It's a scrubbing spree. It's up to par in terms of quality, appears to be well-made, and performs admirably. For the price, I am pleased with it and would recommend it.

It cleans up a lot better than my old patch holder did. It also makes the patch a lot more secure.
