In comparison to other sources, the price was very reasonable. I'm working on a restoration project for a delaminated 1962 Old Town Trapper 15' canoe. It's not an easy job, but it's one worth doing, and I'm using Total Boat 5 to do it. For the first time, I'm using 1 epoxy and I'm really enjoying it. I'm getting excellent results with the short roller and scraper/squeegee. This is a product that I would recommend!.
UGH! Otherwise, it was fine, though my roll had a crease running the length of it. UGH! br>br>The way mine was packaged also led me to believe you should expect some damage to at least the first couple rounds of fabric. br>br>I managed to work it into a spot where it wasn't noticed, but for the price, I think I'll buy from a different supplier next time. br>br> Otherwise, the weight and weave were perfect, and I had no trouble getting the resin to soak in and was able to do multiple layers at once. The fabric was free of lint and other debris.
On both of them, he applied the fiberglass cloth. Both had a lovely finish and performed admirably.
The package was well-packaged and shipped. There are some fabric flaws. Unfortunately, they did not disappear when submerged in epoxy and can now be seen in my clear epoxy over wood. I'll cut them out next time and fill in the hole with a patch.
Good product, nicely rolled up with no kinks or pulls, delivered to my home and ready to use. I'm constructing a glass/epoxy composite. The epoxy resin made this glass cloth clear, and it was used to cover a skinned wood boat. It's difficult to see. That is precisely what I was looking for.
It was exactly what I was looking for.
