I've been cutting carbon fiber for over 6 years and have a good understanding of how to do so. My machine is extremely reliable and has repeatedly demonstrated its capabilities. I'm sure it's not a tooling issue because I'm using the correct bits. br>This supplier's material is the most difficult to cut cleanly. I got some smaller 2mm matte finish sheets a year ago and could tell right away that something wasn't quite right because of the weave appearance. I used it to make some 50x50 parts, but the edging was terrible. I mean frayed CF hairs all over the place when I say terrible. Similar to a sloppy manufacturing process, perhaps not enough compression during sheet production? br>As a result of my dissatisfaction, I ordered a different brand of the material, which arrived in perfect condition. The machine, the tools, and the settings are all the same. Those pieces came off my table with crisp, clean edges that I only needed to clean with a toothbrush. I had to use a file to clean the hairs' edges, scrape the parts, and take the hit with this material. br>A year later, I'm in need of four sheets of material for a large batch of parts. I remembered this vendor and second-guessed myself, thinking that perhaps my previous experience had been a fluke. I knew it wasn't it as soon as I got the materials. br>The weave appeared to be weak once more, not as tight as it had been elsewhere. My fears surfaced again when I cut the first chassis for an RC customer. I used a brand new spoil board and a brand new diamond style carbide bit, and as soon as it started cutting, I noticed how thick the dust was. Unlike other materials, it did not clean itself out of the cut track with the vac head. The chassis was removed, and even the top edge was hairy, with strands protruding from it. br>I have four 400x500 sheets of paper and more work than I require right now. That chassis was discarded because it did not meet the high standards for which my company has become known. There is nothing I can sell publicly from this material, even after filing and sanding to possibly save it. br>br>While this brand will work fine for a hobbyist cutting one-off parts and having time to sand and clean edges, I do not recommend it for someone looking for parts to come off their machine virtually cleanly. I have used many other brands, and they all seem to come from China, so that is not the reason. The manufacturing process for these brand sheets, whatever it is, needs to be re-examined. It is a bad process to be evaluated and altered. br>Tonight, I will add pictures to this review to show exactly what my complaints are, as well as other parts from various brands. I currently have three sheets left that are only suitable for prototype parts; this is not high-quality production material on which I can brand my company's name.

For the money, you get a good-enough piece of carbon fiber that is relatively level and flat. The majority of the panelists had a body mass index of less than 1. 52mm, but one corner was close to 1. 61mmbr>It's adequate for small projects and a variety of other applications, and at the price, I'm not going to dock it a star. For the dozen or so miscellaneous RC car parts I cut from these panels, it's more than accurate enough. Mine had no errors or problems, and was close to 200x300 but not quite. It also comes with a protective film that you can peel off after cutting to keep it clean.

Although not as flat as I had hoped, it appears to be close to specification. Even with mesh bed leveling, I was able to use it as a build plate for my 3D printer. The description of the item is misleading. It mentions Japanese carbon fiber. Although the carbon fiber is made in Japan, the product I received is clearly marked MADE IN CHINA.

Excellent product that does exactly what it says on the tin. The weave is of exceptional quality, as are the matte finish and edges. With a Dremel and an EZ409 thin-blade cutter, it's simple to cut. cut cut- away from the steering wheel Wet and dry sandpaper in the 1000 grit range can be used to polish/smooth edges.

I've ordered a lot of carbonfiber from the internet, but this looks like plastic with a weave printed on it. It's not plastic, but the weave is barely visible and appears to be more two-dimensional than other carbonfiber panels I've bought. I understand it has a matte finish, but it just doesn't look right. To see any weave at all, you must be in bright light and up close. It will, however, work, and shipping will be extremely fast.

The edges were not even close to being clean, and they were extremely rough and sharp. I was only using it to cut parts from, so there was no need for a clean edge. The level of quality is average. It's a low-quality product that's extremely difficult to work with. This was the most difficult material to work with that I've seen in my three years as a carbon fiber cnc machinist. I was able to obtain my parts, but I had to spend a significant amount of time cleaning frayed edges, which I did not have to do with other suppliers. Furthermore, the finish was blemished and uneven, rendering a large section of one corner unusable for parts I ship to my customers. This is something I will not order again.

This is what I use to keep the fan holes clear on my Dell XPS 13 when I'm using it on my lap or in bed. This significantly reduces overheating on the XPS 13. This sheet is ideal for travel because it is lightweight and fits perfectly beneath my XPS 13.
