The tube I have is an 8mm tube. 14mm.
I use a dremel cutting wheel to wrap it in masking tape. Alternatively, you could use a fine-toothed handsaw wrapped in tape.

When I realized I couldn't drill holes for the cotter pins on each end (which breaks up the fibers and weakens the structure over time), I became stuck for a short time. Instead, I used a hose clamp to hold a tight rubber grommet in place. So far, everything is running smoothly.
In addition to using some 3D printed parts, I purchased these Carbon Fiber tubes from Amazon to build a Multi Rotor aircraft, and I needed something strong and lightweight for the aircraft's arms. So, naturally, I went to Amazon and found exactly what I needed. Once the carbon fiber tubes arrived at my door, I could tell they were genuine carbon fiber and that they were exactly what I needed to get started on my new Multi Rotor. br>br>I used my digital caliper to measure the diameter of the CF tubes, and they range from 12 to 13. From 4mm to 12mm 7mm, which has no bearing on the applications for which I use CF tubes. I'm planning on ordering more of these CF tubes for future Multi Rotor and Airplane projects.
The one tube is a quarter inch shorter than the other. As a result, one is either shorter or longer than the other. Furthermore, one of the tubes is curved slightly. Quality assurance is lacking.
The Caliburn, for example, is a foam blaster. On my Caliburn, a custom 3D printed Nerf blaster, I used this as a cover for the 10/32 machine screw thread size. It looks fantastic and is a perfect fit. I'm not using this product for measurements that must be exact. It appears to be ideal for the purpose for which I used it.
It's made of carbon fiber, which is both strong and lightweight. It weighs 33 pounds. They'll each get 5g. I didn't test them for dimensional accuracy, and I won't use them in situations where tolerancing is a concern. These are excellent for use as wing spars in RC planes.
I've had several prop strikes against these and only received a minor scuff; I'll be using this for all of my future builds! Thank you, Arris, for a high-quality carbon fiber tube!.
This is a great product that is well worth the money.
In the hands, these items have a great look and feel. When I took it out of the package, there were no burs or delamination.
