Questions & Answers

These will be used with liquids as a conduit. Is there any chemical/corrosion protection on the inside of these tubes?

They are a CF epoxy coated tubbing, just like most CF tubbing at this price point; the outside shines due to the fabrication process, while the inside is matte but still waterproof. Yes, you could use this for a backyard pond pump setup (I did), but I would not recommend any other use because you don't know the exact epoxy used or if it will withstand the pressure.

Will these be able to withstand the amount of throwing required by a discuss launch glider?

Very powerful. Should be capable of carrying out the task.

What is the thickness of the perimeter wall?

Our carbon fiber tubes have a 1mm wall thickness.

Tubular goodness with a high fiber content

These tubes are of excellent workmanship. They're well-made, have the same diameter and wall thickness as the carbon tubes I bought on eBay, and appear to be much stronger. (They were disappointingly thin and didn't meet the diameter and wall thickness specifications. ) I'd happily say that I'd buy these again, but I've already done so. There are five Amazonian stars.

For extending arms, this is a great option

These are being used to extend the arms of a Tarot 680Pro Hexacopter so that the DJI E800 Tuned Propulsion System can be used. So far, they've proven to be very effective. Aside from one snapping in half when the copter inadvertently flipped (due to incorrect motor connections on my part), it's been a great experience. We'll see how they perform in the long run.
