Make sure you don't throw your money away. I ordered this boot to wear after surgery because I had an open compound fracture of my tibia. I have very small legs (135 pounds, 6 feet) and this boot didn't even come close to fitting. It's uncomfortably tight and poorly constructed. When I discovered you couldn't even return it, I wished I could give it a 0 star rating.

This is what the doctors gave me, and a nurse told me that for a $75 boot, they could bill insurance $300. The pneumatic feature/function lasted less than 24 hours before failing. This is how we are defrauded. Insurance and health-care companies are allowing junk to be sold for exorbitant prices. br>br>Three of the straps are not connected to the boot at all, and are only held in place by "Velcro" when the straps are wrapped around the boot. As a result of the lack of a secure location to secure the straps, they dangle on the floor, get stepped on, and constantly stick to themselves. br>br>I'd give it a "ZERO" rating. If I could, and if I had to pay for it, I'd give it ZERO STARS. Ossur prefers to work directly with medical professionals, according to the ortho and podiatrist, and can be difficult to deal with when receiving questions or support issues from direct customers. When I emailed Ossur a narrative of my issue and problem with their product failure, I received an immediate confirmation of this. Calls and emails should both be answered with "No response. " It doesn't get any more dreadful than that. br>br> While this is not Amazon's fault, I believe that in the future, product sector managers will be required to keep companies like Ossur in check. Finally, a person's faith in Amazon can be shaken, as I have been hesitant to order anything other than disposable items. It could have been a mistake to give them another chance. Seriously, I'd like to work for Amazon verifying the "reality" of product claims.
