Selected User Reviews For MABIS Surgical Tweezers and Dressing Forceps, 5 inches long, Serrated, Stainless Steel
Tweezers' tips aren't in sync. Because the points are angled to the side and the serrations aren't lined up, tweezing small objects is impossible. On the tips, there was poor machining.
I assumed it would be the one advertised when I bought it. Unfortunately, the one that arrived has a much thinner tip and a steeper shape than I would have preferred. I only needed the tweezers to pick up small items such as tablets or other small items that had been dropped. I'm not implying that this tweezer is incapable of performing its intended function-- However, it is not the one I had been anticipating. Despite the fact that receiving this tweezer did not cost me a fortune, I still do not want it.
Mechanically, they're flimsy, and even light squeezing will cause them to deflect significantly. The finish is good, but the fit isn't quite right. par. The tips aren't ground well enough to properly mate. When the forceps begin to engage with each other, the serrations "correct" their alignment. You'll be satisfied with these if you're not using them for anything that necessitates strength and precision. You don't have to waste your time with these if you need a little more leverage or precision in your work.
They're not your average brows. tweezers for plucking; They're quite large and have very grippy ends. If you require this type of product for your application, this particular brand should suffice. I was blown away by how well-made they are for such a low price; highly recommended.
Average quality, suitable for suturing practice at home for a medical student. They're a little flimsy, and I doubt they'll last very long. Mine haven't had the same issues as another reviewer's with segregation.
Two of them were purchased. One of the tips was perfectly aligned and worked well for grabbing items. The second one wasn't quite as aligned, but it still grabbed things, just not the smaller ones that required precision.
I found exactly what I needed. When I work on small engines or make fishing flies and lures, I use these to pick up small parts. That's exactly what I needed. I'm talking about the $20 surgical quality tweezers, which aren't as finely finished or as heavy as premium tweezers, but they're plenty strong and sturdy for what I'm doing, and the teeth mesh nicely from both sides, which isn't always the case with budget tweezers. I would highly recommend this product and would purchase it again.
What I got was not what was shown in the photo or described in the description. The items I received were extremely thin and flexible, with completely different ends. However, you get what you pay for, as the adage goes.
