What are the autoclaving instructions for this product?

You can use this item for hobby and crafting purposes. We do not recommend that you use it for medical purposes after it has been sterilized. Whether or not this item should be placed in an autoclave is not something we can answer, as we did not make it for it specifically.

It says in the description that it fits age 11 and 15. Could you explain this? Whenever I have bought a #3, I've had to use a #10. The blade on this one won't fit a #10?

Without a doubt! The colors I use in my hobby work are #10/15/11/12. There have never been any issues!

There are so many holes in the blade, you can't attach it to the frame

There is no way to attach blades to this handle since it is so poorly made. Install the blade by starting it and then pressing the point of the blade against something to complete the process. The removal of blades is equally difficult, and tools are needed. It should be easy for users to install and remove blades without the use of tools. The installation and removal of blades was a total waste of time and energy. Buy the product and do not use it.

I got what I paid for. It would be great to have a new scalpel handle to place in a kit I am building with various first aid kits. I have many scalpel blades, but I needed a new handle to place in a I was very satisfied with the item. It arrived quickly and is exactly what I wanted. It is extremely easy and safe to place and remove scalpel blades, so when purchasing a handle for scalpels, take this factor into consideration. It appears that the construction of this shelter is of excellent quality, and it should last for years. Any person who requires a new scalpel handle, or wants to replace an old one, should consider using this product.

It is used to decorate cakes

Using a scalpel in an unconventional manner is my method of operating. The cake decorator in me is my profession. Therefore, this instrument is used only to cut fondant or model chocolate elements for decorating Once I loaded the scalpel for the first time, it was a breeze, and it's gotten easier with each subsequent attempt. A tool like this would be ideal for paper crafting too. This makes my life a lot easier as a cake decorator because it's fast and easy to use.

After reworking both blades to seat them correctly, I had to rework the base of the blades. I guess you get what you pay for. As far as I can tell, they molded to.

Purchasing this was a bad decision

There are no blades that fit this scalpel My attempt to save a few bucks led to me having to purchase a Mckesson scalpel in the end. There is no way you can use it, so you shouldn't bother.
