I bought these for school because I thought they were a good deal at $8 for two pairs of hemostats. I was a little concerned about the size, but I decided they were worthwhile. Both pairs were sent to me, but neither of them fully lock. The tips of the clamp are close together, but the rest of the clamp isn't close enough to touch. You can see straight through them when they're held up to the light. When I tried to return them, I was told to call the manufacturer because they were defective; however, the manufacturer does not have my money; therefore, why am I calling this amazon store? After that, I changed my mind because Amazon informed me that they were not returnable. Why don't you just say it right at the start? Very let down.
These are rough and cheap, as previous reviews have stated. I had hoped that at the very least, all of the teeth would be in place. My curved pair works great, but the straight edge pair won't lock out of the bag and has ripped edges down the teeth and handle. br>br>I attempted to return them, but they were deemed ineligible. I expected more from an Amazon Basics product, despite the fact that they are inexpensive.
It's always difficult to judge a product's size based on its description, but the business end of these hemostats is much larger than I expected. As a result, these won't be used for delicate, small tasks. However, they're perfectly adequate for a variety of other tasks. I bought them specifically to replace my nose ring, and I was successful in doing so, though it would have been easier if I had hemostats with a much smaller, precision tip. In any case, they're reasonably priced. It's difficult to predict how they'll fare over time.
The curved ones broke the first time they were used. I'm hoping the seller will be able to provide replacements. They appear to be quite sturdy, except where they snapped. I'm hoping it was just a fluke.
I used these a lot to get rid of extensions and disconnect from fluids. When I ordered them, I was under the impression that they would be much smaller, so when I saw them, I couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculously large they were in comparison to what I had expected. BUT! Because I suffer from severe joint pain as a result of my RA, the 8-inch length is extremely useful for disconnecting fluids and/or changing out extension lines. I'm even going to get a pair for my home health nurse, who adores them.
As an "add-on item" for chainsaw fuel tubing, these were suggested. Thank you, Amazon; you were the right tool for the job, and you saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I wish I'd had a set of these when I was younger. Sure, there are better ones out there, but these will suffice for minor repairs around the house. The locking function could be a little more powerful, but that would make them more difficult to unlock.
Magnets aren't as effective on stainless steel as they are on these hemostats. Although the quality appears to be good, it was intended for use in fishing. When they become rusted, Wil will need to keep them oiled or replace them.
These were purchased to clean the ears of my dog. I swab inside the ear canal and get into the nooks and crannies by clipping the cotton ball to the end. Instead of shoving it into the ear, I clean it with it rather than my finger. br>br>These are heavy-duty clamps that will last a long time. One is parallel to the ground and the other is curved. For this simple task, they've done a great job.
